BigRoadie - what was illegal about what Mike did while he was still employed by GM? Your acusations imply what he did was just that (illegal). My opinion was it was perfectly legal, and he did it because he could. Did you and your Union change the rules that would not allow this to happen again? My guess is no.

Sounds as if we have some bitter jealous people on here. I don't remember that many running against Mike when he ran. Apparently there are a lot of others who think they can do better. Stay the course Mike, and don't pay attention to the dissents......

Then tell me you and your employer are not paying in to this. If you were not working, this money would not be going in to this fund. If you are working and this money is going in to this fund, it is to protect YOU in a job loss, not your employer. That makes that contribution yours. Check out the tax rates and tell me the percentage formula again....

ljs64 - U.I is money that is being returned to you. You and your employer pay anywhere from 3.025 - 3.25% of EVERY paycheck you get into this fund. I have personally paid in over $59,000+ in to this fund. I would be very upset if I didn't get this on time to pay for my mortgage or groceries! Justification for complaining!!! BTW - max benefit for U.I. is $388 a week. Do you think that is fair when one has paid in over $59K + interest to this fund?

I understand he is innocent until proven guilty. However, I wouldn't have given him the decency of a happy birthday in print. I don't get it, but that is only my opinion.
