My heart breaks for this family. I can't imagine ever having to go thru something so tragic. It makes me want to grab my kids and never let go. I used to work with Shannon and George, family members of Dereks. I am so sorry for what you are going thru. Be strong and alway keep him in your hearts.

On 911. What's your emergency?
Posted on April 10 at 6:33 p.m. ( Suggest removal )
About a week ago, my sister and I saw a huge barn fire and it looked like the homeowners were not home. After a minute of should I call, we decided it was the right thing to do. The dispatcher, after taking the fire number, informed me this was a controlled burn and the fire dept just left. She thanked me for calling. I would like to know that if it was an emergency, people would stop to call if it was my home. I'm glad I made the call even though it turned out not to be an emergency.
