Yeah! I guess when you work in a hospital (like I do) and see so many patients on a daily basis detoxing, suffering from withdrawal, or in liver failure it actually makes you realize how crappy alcohol can be! GO UW Health!

Gazettefan- My Aunt is currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer. She had been unable to keep anything down and was downn to about 90 pounds. No medications could help her. Her Dr told her to smoke pot. He was unable to write her a prescription. She is now recovering and able to take care of her 3 small children.
HOw can you suggest for someone to start drinking? You want to encourage people to become addicted to a substance that can kill them simply from its prolonged use- or even more quickly by crashing their car, falling down the stairs, or by killing innocent people. Makes a lot of sense.

GM did cut retirees health benefits if they are 65 or over. My blind Grandma is 89 years old and lives off of my deceased Grandpa's pension. What is she supposed to do, get a job?
