On Wearing Baby Safely

Posted on March 15 at 9:23 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

The bottom line? Be cautious, be aware, but don’t be afraid to wear your baby.

EXACTLY!!!!
I had the carrier they were talking about and honestly it was a life saver for those first few months. My child had reflux and was calmer and happier when in the c-shape. I was also cautious making sure the material wasn't covering my childs face. We switched to a mei tai when they were a little older. It's using common sense people! As with anything for your child you need to be aware and use caution.

On The Placebo Effect

I love how mommy kisses are 10X better than what daddy can give. It never fails to make me smile when my son is hurt that a kiss makes the tears disappear so much faster.

On Family Size: When to Say When?

I said while pregnant with my first that he would be my one and only. I said it for months afterwards. Then when he turned 14 months we found out we were unexpectedly expecting again. I can't imagine life without her now but in my heart when I said I was done I was done. I can say now that I feel complete with my two. I have heard more times than I can count that when you think you're done...have one more.

Kudos mama! I think it's just as hard on us as it is on them. I hope the trend continues and she doesn't want it back!

On Vanishing Halloween Candy: Is the Switch Witch to Blame?

Posted on November 2 at 4:10 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

Love the Switch Fairy idea. We're currently in a 'if you pick up all the toys you dumped out, you can have ONE piece.' So far it's working...the rest will be sent with daddy to work. I do have to admit that I am disappointed that more people don't participate. I get that times are tough for people and candy isn't cheap but it makes me sad when I realize when I was young that every house in the neighborhood was lit up and people were excited to see kids. We had maybe 10 houses participating. We came home quickly and proceeded to hand out candy to the kids. I think my kids enjoyed that just as much if not more because they'd watch from our big window at the kids coming up. I love seeing kids dressed up and be happy for A piece of candy.

On Which intersection do you think is the most dangerous in Janesville?

Posted on October 31 at 3:30 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

They are all dangerous when drivers don't know enough to stop at red lights. I've got so I wait a few seconds after the light turns green before I do anything because I don't trust the other drivers to stop.
