On Wis. bill would protect mothers who breast-feed

It's just sad that this has to be made a law! I can't believe people get upset that mothers feed their child in the most natural and healthy way possible. When a baby has to eat, they have to eat! There are ways to be discreet about it, as mothers should be to respect those around them. It's a shame that mothers need a law to have respect shown for them!

Come on totellthetruth this is a feel good story about the upcoming holidays! They don't call them Christmas programs at school, they call them holiday programs! Obviously they aren't singing about Jesus and Mary because this is a public school. If you'd like to see a biblical themed Christmas program I'm sure any of the private parochial schools in the area would be glad to oblige you. Or go to church, our church puts on a fabulous "Christmas program." Seriously what is wrong with people. Congrats Monroe. You first graders rocked the house!

On Sheridan says door not closed on Janesville plant

bosslady96- I do have compassion, telling people to get over it represents the harsh reality that people have taken way to long to realize, the plant is GONE. It's to bad, it's awful for the economy of Janesville and surrounding communities, but it wasn't completely unexpected! Get over it, move on, look for ways to lure prospective businesses to Janesville, sign up for classes at the local tech perhaps in in a medical field so that can find a comparable job. The auto industry workers out of work have it a lot better off then the average unemployed person, they are getting more funding for school and in benefits. I truly hope people use this to their advantage to help themselves and the community.

They should be glad to work at all. $14.00 an hour to "work on a line" in a factory is actually pretty good pay. Seriously get over it GM is gone. People need to be concentrating on coming together as a community and pulling through these hard economic times. Not concentrating on the past and eating up false hope for the future.

Seriously, get over it GM is gone. Look to the future, like GM chose not to do and therefore couldn't compete in the global market. The community needs to be focused on showing off Janesvilles assets and attracting new employers and businesses to Janesville, not holding on to false hope that some how GM will stay in Janesville, it's over. No one person could have saved GM, I doubt an army of people could have. Look forward.

On Wedding bells, not wedding bills

Spending $20 here and there is going to end up costing you a lot more in the long run. Especially when you aren't keeping track of that money. You will almost always get a better deal spending more and getting more at one time. Spending $15,000 on a vegas wedding is not saving. If you are going to spend that much have regular wedding or go to place with a beach and sun!
