On Janesville woman sentenced for role in crash

jvlhouswife: Wow. "I just hope if she does this again that it is her child that is killed not mine!!" How about hoping if she does this again, NO one gets killed? I've known Heather since middle school and when we were in high school, I seem to remember her getting into a pretty bad accident and it was amazing she didn't get killed. I don't know if there was alcohol involved in that crash or not, but I know she was racing at very high speeds through town and hit a tree. Now, fast forward 7 years. You'd think she'd learn to drive more safely whether it be at reasonable speeds and/or no alcohol especially with a child in the car. She deserves her sentence, if not more. I don't know what it will take in order for her to be more responsible. As for the dad of her daughter, my husband works with him and I've met him a few times. By the looks of things, he seems to be a great dad. When I was pregnant and had a checkup, he was at the hospital with one of his kids when they were sick. I don't know if he ever tried to get full custody or not but either way, I don't think that makes him a bad dad. Maybe he didn't even know that Heather would drink and drive with their daughter. Maybe with his income, he couldn't afford to go to court to get custody (it isn't cheap from what I hear.) And to Lovingbeingmarried...Maybe this was her first offense drinking and driving, or maybe this was just her first time getting caught.

Maybe instead of buying that property and trying to renevate it, he should have bought properties, renevated those, and rented to decent people that passed a background check. I am so sick of everyone saying certain neighborhoods aren't safe yet they aren't doing anything about it.

Doyle keeps increasing the taxes of cigarettes to get people to stop smoking. Let's start taxing the heck out of alcohol and maybe people will stop drinking.

There are a couple of things that concern me, one being that she apparently didn't trust her boyfriend. When she had called and he said he was giving her a bath, she rushed home (i'm guessing because the baby was crying in the background.) Well, my fiance has given our daughter a bath a few times and yeah sometimes she cries but I don't go rushing to them. Some babies hate baths. Also, why would she go outside to dump bathwater? We have an infant tub and it has a plug in it. We pull the plug and let it drain out and air dry. Even if there was no plug, why wouldn't she have just dumped it into the tub since they were right there in the bathroom anyway? Doesn't make much sense to me.

gmaof3-As a brand new parent of a one month old, I could easily see how one would accidently misjudge the width of a doorframe. Although I have not done that, there was one time where I almost did in the middle of the night when getting up for a feeding. Accidents happen. It's when these accidents keep happening where something starts to smell fishy.

truth: I think that's 13.4 million dollars....If it were thirteen dollars and 40 cents, it would have been typed $13.40.

someoneme: I might be mistaken, but I believe if you are between the ages of 18-20, your parent cannot take you into a bar nor buy you alcohol at that bar. I'm not so sure about a house party though.
