On Athletes could skip gym under new law

Posted on December 24 at 2:48 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

"The new law allows school boards to grant students a half credit of phy ed—cutting the number of required phy ed credits by one-third—if they participate in sports."

Now this may be a dumb question, but is it a half credit TOTAL or is that per sports season? Either way, I think it's a great idea. I remember how horrible gym class was with all the hard-core athletes making the non-athletes feel bad about themselves and not wanting to participate. If the athletes aren't in the gym classes, it could potentially help the other people that wouldn't normally get much use out of phy ed.

dini79, on the contrary. This is probably Walker's way of creating MORE jobs, after all the drunks get fired because there isn't a union to save them!

On Health officials: Raw milk sickened people at Wis. school event

Posted on June 19 at 11:08 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

A lot of the the nutrients and good bacteria in raw milk are cooked away when the milk becomes pasturized. Also, if you're not used to drinking raw milk, it can give you the runs, especially if you drink too much. There are even families out there that only eat raw meat. Since they're used to it, it doesn't make them sick. Raw foods aren't for everyone.

On Wedding withdrawal

Posted on October 22 at 12:38 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

I've been married for a year, and I gotta say that I do not miss wedding planning! I hated it. I do miss having something exciting happening though. Hubby and I will dream up projects to do around the house and then start working and that gets me through for a little while. Right now we are doing our bathroom. We planned it out, started working and it's still not finished, but then once it is finished, the newness of it is still around for a while and I am satisfied.

I think it's pretty clear why the fact that she is homeless was pointed out. She had been looking for a place to stay and was thirsty and the guy promised her water. If they didn't report what she was doing in there, then everyone would be asking "why did she go into his apartment?"

On Thousands of dollars in lingerie stolen from Victoria’s Secret

Not saying that I would buy used underwear, but did anyone see the dateline episode where they went undercover to places such as V.S. and bought and returned underwear? Even going so far as to remove any liners and still have the stores take them back. Yuck.

I would have sprayed him as well. On full power, those things can hurt! It would at least have been enough of a shock to have time to get in the car and lock the doors.

On Should classes start later in the morning?

I'm not sure about everyone else, but if I knew that my day wasn't going to start until a half hour later than usual, I'd be going to bed a half hour later as well. This wouldn't have helped me when I was a teenager.
