On Stupak Amendment is an insult to women

Posted on November 20 at 7:03 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

The Stupak Amendment does not stop women from having Abortions. It does stop the rest of us from paying for it. Please remember people that Healthcare is not a right!!! Having said that, people who truly need it in this country will always receive it.
And as for abortions saving the tax payer money on food stamps and free housing and the rest, I am against all of the freebies that the government hands out to lazy good for nothings.

On A cross we should not bear

This country was founded on Christian values and principals, Yet no one is "forced" to Christian schools, because schools are not allowed to show any christian values.

And what have Muslims done in the name of "allah"?????
As a country we allow religious freedom, which means we do not persecute anyone for there personal beliefs and practices. However it does not mean that we should cowtow to everyones wants. If Jews or any other religion want their own religious symbol, let them put it up and take care of it themselves.

On Walworth County Fair numbers remain strong

I hope that Walworth County never allows alcohol anywhere on the fair grounds. I grew up going there and took my children there. It has always been a great family oriented fun place. I went to the MN State Fair over the weekend and was appalled at the number of people that could not attend without alcohol.

On Drilling isn’t answer to our energy needs

DiGriz-funny you should mention truckers...I own a trucking company, and my husband drives one.

Mr. Obama has lied to us about almost everything else he campained. How about all the tax cheats in his "transparent" administration. And he is definitely adding to the partisanship of our country. His buyout of the auto industry is to pay back the unions that elected him. I hope the younger generations that voted for change can afford all the "change" of power and the "green" products all while "hoping" to pay for the trillions of dollars of debt, and purchasing all their oil from hostile countries.

By the way, if we didn't have global warming for hundreds of years, we would not be here, because it would still be the ice age.

On Drilling isn’t answer to our energy needs

Does anyone remember why Alaska joined our union as a State? It was because of its natural resources, including oil. There is also much oil in our own midwestern states, just waiting to be tapped into. If Obama will wait until the economy significantly recovers to enforce his use it or lose it, then we have nothing to worry about. Since the author doesn't mind the trillions of dollars of debt that our dear President has left for the future generations. Someday the other nations that currently provide us with oil, will use it against us, then you had better get your own oil supply or you will be in quite the pickle then.

I am with Kraut, so I cannot waste anymore of my time chatting with you Liberal kooks, I have to go work on filling my pantry and my ammo supply.

On Obama plans visit to Green Bay

Feingoldfan: I can't see why anyone would be happy that the Messiah is coming to Wisconsin. As far as I'm concerned he can stay as far away from us as possible...maybe stay overseas, since he is a citizen of the world. Someday you will all wake up with none of your God-given freedoms left. But then it will be too late.

On Stimulus funding to resurface Janesville streets

Welcome to Obamanomics. This is where you think everything is rosy, but when you wake up, you have trillions of dollars of debt. Oh wait, that was "inherited"......Yeah it will be inherited alright, by your children.

On Wis. smoking ban passes

No one has told anyone, smokers or nonsmokers where they should go to eat or drink, until now. Next "they" will be telling you where you can shop or where you can work. You have always had a choice of where to work, there were plenty of places where people did not smoke that you could work at. Doyle is just adding up more people that will not vote for him again. Not that he needed this to make the numbers climb.

On Lyons residents express displeasure about horse facility

The people of Lyons should remember that Genoa City was a proposed site for a Nascar facility. I bet those people are regretting all the money they are not getting now.

On Revenue, attendance drop at dog track

It seems so long ago that people were fighting to get the dog tracks legal in the State of Wisconsin. I bet they are glad they spent all their energy now.
