On Bengals beat Packers 31-24

Posted on September 20 at 7:23 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

Still waiting to see if Rodgers can put together a game winning drive without falling flat on his face, another missed opportunity. What team does not have a 3rd and 8+yard play in their playbook and gives up a 3rd and 34, thats right people the prevent pack. Farve would have put a drive together on that last series. Could be a long season barely beating da bears and losing at home to the bungles.

On Council hears new rink pitch

mooshoo and all the other constant complainers need to stop playing the victim role, do you think everyone is out to make your life miserable? Is everyone out to get you in some way? People like yourselves are called COMMUNITY CANCER. Never anything good to say unless it directly effects you. You have two options, run for city council or the better choice would be to MOVE somewhere else. Lets face it there is no better time for a new rink than now with contractors slashing prices to stay busy. Janesville has had an ice rink for 35 years and i dont see them getting rid of it. So either put 2 mil. into a 35 year old structure and still have no room for seating and the low ceilings you never see at other rinks or the better option build new.

On Group proposing new city ice rink

If you are not involved in hockey you have no idea how passionate people are about their sport, more passionate than any sport by far. Obviously hockey is not as popular as football or basketball in this town but i feel alot more momentum towards hockey with the success of the bluebirds and the soon arrival of the junior team. The ice rink is an ammenity to the city and i gaurantee any town this size has an ice rink, its just bad timming that the rink is in major need of repair. Im pretty sure when the junior team starts their games here you will see people from other communities talking about how run down and small are rink is compared to all the other teams rinks. Its time to bite the bullet and get on with building the new facility. Rinks are never big money makers but more for the community enjoyment and keeping kids active. We have nice football, baseball, swimming, and biking facilities its time for a new rink.If you feel you are being taxed to death then move to a smaller town with no ammenities its your right. Time for people to start thinking positive and emerge stronger than ever. Ice is nice.

rooster...reading some of your previous posts about all subjects you are not the majority on this team coming to janesville and no one will ever take anything you post seriously with nothing ever good to say about anything, so shut your big trap. Myself and the majority of our citizens welcome this venture with open arms and cant wait. Good luck, we will support this 100%.

I think this city should thank WHP for wanting to take a risk in calling Janesville home for a business venture in these economic times. We should all show are thanks by supporting this team 100% come game time.Remember without community support things like this are not possible.Keep your stick on the ice.

People will drink whether they can do it there or not. There is no difference between selling beer there or if they decide to drink at a bar before they go or in the parking lot before the game.Loosen your belt a little janesville. If not selling beer at the rink is the number one goal then you better make everyone take a breathalizer test before entry, because if people enjoy a drink every once in awhile this will not stop them from having one or two before the game.Might as well make some money doing it.

I really think this could be great for the city if the community supports this 100% come game time. For the whiners and complainers, (spacecase & supernegative), if you were to check out other posts of theirs you would find the same disturbing pattern alot of negativity.I dont know how they live with themselves.Must be a real miserable life they live.Well for the positive thinkers cant wait to see ya at the games.Drop the puck!

On Council to consider hockey vote Monday

Posted on March 22 at 11:23 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

There should be no question this should pass, this is a city building and should be taken care of before doing anything new like the bike tunnel. Take care of what you got before building new! The naysayers are people the people that do not use this facility and if they dont like it they have the right to move! This will make the rink more money, it should be an easy choice. It's hard to make everyone happy, so some people will be mad, oh well. Lets play hockey!
