On Mercy to hear neighborhood's concerns

Really?! I think the obvious is that Mercy is FINALLY doing this because St. Mary's is really here! And more accessible from the interstate than the west side location so this is Mr. Bea's way of keeping that interstate money coming to his pocket instead of going elsewhere. Bring it on St. Mary's. Welcome.

Wow! My cat just spent 2 days at the shelter after getting her collar off and being picked up a block away by my neighbors. I paid the Humane Society $80 and got a 'voucher' to give me a discount on getting her her shots within 3 days. Of course, the vet couldnt get me in until the next week which by then a virus (obtained at the humane society according to my vet)kicked in, she was dehydrated and feverish with an upper respiratory infection and I spent another $98 at my vet. If the cities are paying so much money, why the hell did I have to???!!! Oh, and by the way she couldn't get the shots because of the virus, so I get to collect another vet bill in 2 weeks!!!

RIP LUIS....A FRIEND OF ONE OF MY CHILDREN.
AN ATHLETE, A SMILING FACE THAT MADE A POSITIVE IMPRESSION ON MANY, A SOON TO BE FATHER, A SON, ETC....
AS A MOTHER OF 4 BELOIT CHILDREN, I CAN SAY THAT IT IS NOT ALL ABOUT PARENTING. I HAD A CHILD THAT WENT ASTRAY WHO WE RAISED WITH DISCIPLINE, IN CHURCH, AND PLENTY OF LOVE. THERE IS PEER PRESSURE, FEAR OF FAILURE, ADDICTIVE PERSONALITY...NOT EVERYTHING THAT GOES WRONG IS BECAUSE OF PARENTING. WE CAN NOT SEARCH FOR BLAME, WE NEED TO SEARCH FOR SOLUTIONS. WE HAVE LOST TOO MANY YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN TO GUN VIOLENCE.
I PRAY FOR LUIS' FAMILY, FRIENDS AND LOVED ONES. MAY THE MEMORIES LIVE STRONG FOREVER.

I can say that as a mother of minority children, that some of those things DO matter! Of course, if you have never had to experience your child being called a 'nigga' and getting suspended for defending himself while those who called him that and punched him several times and did NOT get suspended, you wouldn't understant why racial comments/discrimination DO matter.

Beloit and Janesville are both big to the Wausau area drug dealers. I believe it has something to do with being close to a midway from chicago to wausau. So the 3 cities can traffic fairly easily. Sad, but true.

I feel for certain people like my neighbor who's plant closed down, applies for jobs across the country, willing to relocate where needed, goes to interviews regularly, and is either 'over qualified, under qualified', or just plain never hears back! It frustrates me that many abuse the system and it mostly hurts people like him, who are looking at losing everything.
