To all who have posted before me. First of all let me start by saying that Damons has been a part of this town's economy for about 15 years, and all of you want to sit here and bash it and the people that work there. That would be like me saying that General Motors closed down because everyone who worked there was lazy and would rather watch Monday Night Packer games than work overtime to support their families. Second of all, RUDE... would be a bunch of unemployed LOSERS that have nothing better to do with their time than to come onto this website and rant on about issues that affect EVERY restaurant in this or any other town. You dont think the Roadhouse has bad employees? When was the last time anyone had good service from Buffalo Wild Wings? Been a while for me. In fact, in the last week I have seen many people visibly torn by the loss of this establishment, and I am sure its because of our lazy, rude, and crappy service. I am also EXTREMELY entertained by the fact that people believe this has nothing to do with the economy when Janesville is on America's top 10 list for highest unemployment ratio... that may be part of the reason why instead of doing something productive for this town, all of you are on here commenting at home while you are probably sitting on your couch. Damons, on the other hand, never gave up. They fought even long after people counted them out, and they did it because their employees, and their General Manager... cared greatly about providing quality food and entertainment to this ridiculously over opinionated town. In summary, in the end... I just couldn't let all of you ignorant people posting nasty comments get away with this GARBAGE... So i felt it necessary to respond. Also I would like to add that the love that everyone has shown over the last few days GREATLY outweighs any of the NONSENSE discussed above. All of you should be ashamed of yourselves, and take a look in the mirror before you go to rip so many others livelyhoods. Sincerely, Kevin Watt. Get it how you live it.

I work with one of the victims, and am good friends with that victims sister. I believe that accountability needs to come into play regarding this article. I was well aware of this story long before the article came out and my personal opinion is that the Janesville Gazette should have stepped in and stopped this article from ever hitting the press. I think that it is disgusting to try to justify a rapist's thought process, or reasons for commiting such a horrible crime. I was also a victim of childhood abuse, and had many dark times as a teen, but It has never in crossed my mind to commit any type of sex crime, or mugging. For the Gazette to try to spin this story into the attacker's favor is poor judgement on the part of it's staff, and editors. I still feel that this article should be pulled from Gazette archives. I for one, am outraged that the article's focal point wasn't on the families that suffered, and the countless hours of counseling and healing required for the families to move forward after such an awful event took place. Shame on your Janesville Gazette. It may be in your best interest to sell newspapers, and maybe this is how you feel you can accomplish such a feat, but I think your total disregard for the real victims, is repulsive!!!!
