On Millions sought in death

I understand that her family is in pain right now but, shouldnt they really hold shaun accountable for this? Last time i checked the coroners report said nothing about any edgerton officer being responsible for their deaths. Shaun shot Jennifer, then himself. That is where the blame should be placed. Ofc. Vierck handled the first call as he should have, there was NO probable cause to make an arrest, and no information at the time to hold shaun on a 51.15. As such he was not required or obligated to write a report. The second incident, Ofc. Williams did detain Shaun on a 51.15 hold. He did all he could in that situation. He was not responsible for the acts of crisis intervention after that. Regarding, "Despite probable cause of the commission of numerous crimes, Shaun was never arrested," the claim states, remember, they were married and living together. All the information that has been released, I have yet to see any incident where Shaun was disorderly or had assaulted Jennifer. Short of that, there was no probable cause to arrest him. Most of the information notice is all after the fact information that the officers were not aware of during these incidents. While the police do protect, they cannot and should not be expected to know the thoughts of every person they have contact with. They are not responsible for the actions of someone who was intent on killing his wife and himself.

On Edgerton Fire plans to hire full-time chiefs

opinion-do you think with all the crying that you and the fire district are doing, that they would be able to get enough volunteers to bring the ems back in house? highly unlikely. this did start with the edgerton three and about how you all wanted a volunteer only department. now the chief and beckwith are crying because they want to be full time. except now they got rid of the union, so they can get a sweet deal with the district and get it because they non-union. but, good luck with your dog and pony show fire department.

On Officer won’t be cited in squad crash

reading the comments makes me ask a few questions, 1) have that many of you been arrested and cant accept you actually did something to deserve it? 2) liltiger, do you actually think that if it were you involved that going to jpd and "raising a fit" would change anything? it goes to the whole janesville mindset that i am above the law and the police cant do that to me otherwise i will complain about it until it gets changed. 3) were any of you there, did you see what happened? 5) if you read the story sounds like he hit the squad. so why does everyone continue to write as if she hit him? she made a mistake. the amount that each officer drives and the numerous things they have to pay attention to in and outside of the car besides driving, it can happen, shes human. no one gets on a blog and rips apart the average citizen when they get a speeding ticket or are involved in an accident. finally, state patrol decided not to cite her, not jpd.

biscuit, i honestly dont care if you were there or not. are you defending this guy who killed his sister? are you saying that milton and not staskal (the one who actually killed his sister) should be held accountable? it doesnt matter how much hazing or abuse this guy took, it doesnt justify him killing his sister. remember, I WAS NOT THERE!

sfcm most civil and insurance matters are not subject to open records. second, if you can not confirm your "reliable source" then why would you post it.
