Actually having huber privileges IS a good idea. These individuals have to pay for being in huber, each week. If they don't pay, they don't go out to work. Sitting in jail may be a punishment but at least this way the criminals who work contribute to some of the costs that WE TAXPAYERS are paying for their food, shelter and medical care. I, for one, have a job, pay for my own housing, food and healthcare. Maybe it is time that criminals have to "PAY" for their crimes, and just because they are out working on huber privileges doesnt mean they are "FREE". They only have certain hours they can be out each day, the rest they are incarcerated.

freeradical- your comments are "rediculous"- (actually spelled ridiculous) The "badges" are not only there to pull people over and search their cars. These men and women also put their lives on the line EVERY DAY to keep you and I safe, even from ourselves when we do something dumb. Agree that texting while driving is a common sense thing not to do, but hey, people don't get it so there has to be a law to stop them. Bottom line is that if someone doesn't want their car searched, first don't have anything in it that shouldn't be in it, second, follow the rules and don't get pulled over.

I have read all of the posts and, really people, seven kids have been injured, does it really matter what color their skin is? Is it necessary to insult others' grammar? Does anyone care what those who choose to write such nonsense have to say? I, for one, do not. I happen to know two of these kids and their families personally. This is purely a case of kids out having fun doing some tp-ing for homecoming and an ACCIDENT ensuing. Yes people, it was an ACCIDENT. Thankfully they are or will be ok, with probably some rehabilitation for their injuries. So look at yourself in the mirror before passing judgement on others. Apparently some think that they are flawless. Be thankful that you havent had to go through tragedy if you have never experienced such pain. No one cares if your high school years were not fun. If you have children, in school or not, hug them and tell them that you love them, while you still can. Ok, enough said, I feel better now.

So there are seven kids in a car and no one seems to think that is a bad thing? Thankfully there were no fatalities, but come on folks, teach your children to drive safely! A 17 year old kid should NOT have six other children with them

May that poor baby rest in peace and his twin grow up to understand. May the "father" (and I use that term lightly) suffer every single day that he is on this earth, for when he meets his maker, the gates are slammed shut

To displacedworker: You are missing the point...a young girl has been abducted...who thinks of the race card in a situation like this? Stop pitying yourself because you dont have a job, go out and find a job instead of making the family of this poor girl live through dumb statements like yours

ok, I am sorry but for the entire time Ms. Hart was waiting to go to trial, she was out partying, how does that show that she is sorry? Although she is very young, and I don't think she will do that well in prison, she needs to suffer consequences. This was not an isolated drinking mistake, she continued to drink, lie to the police, fake her identity.....and she is only 17!! Where are the parents? oh yeah, out of town, leaving the 17 yr old home to do whatever she wants.....the sentence was fair, but it will NEVER bring back the father so desperately missed
