Please I am so sick of people using the poor black man excuse and the broken home excuse! He knew right from wrong he chose to live his life like a criminal and now he can serve his time like a criminal. There are plenty of people who have grown up in similar conditions and have become productive law abiding citizens. White, Black, Brown, Red, Yellow, whatever, stop using the color of a persons skin for the pitty party.

I will be the first to admit, a criminal is a criminal. But this country was founded on the labor, blood, sweat and tears of immigrants. All immigrants are not "Latinos" just because we are the majority we are the target of everyones aggressions. I am first generation American born to immigrants and damn proud of it. My brother who became a US Citizen to join the USMC and is currently in Afgahnistan, was an immigrant. We are not here to steal your "American Dream" we are here to make our own dreams come true. Plus who here would honeslty work 16 hours a day with no benefits at 6-8 dollars an hour?Who here would would be in the fields from dawn to dusk for 3 dollars an hour or less? We take what we can get to provide for our families not just ourselves. Yes punish the ones who have criminal histories but don't be quick to judge the ones that are just trying to live.
