I hope you are kidding? I also hope you aren't African American, a woman, a homosexual or anyone who has ever had to fight history. Just because it has happened for years doesn't mean it is right. It is fine to agree with the ban but at least provide an educated opinion as to why.

What I find funny is those who claim they do not want their taxes any higher. The school is going to get built, whether it be in 3 years or 5-10. None of you are allowed to look back and say I wish we would have built back then when interest rates were at an all time low. By voting no because of taxes, you have essentially voted yes to a higher tax increase in the not so distant future!

On New school on table at Turner

Two things. First, they will build a new school eventually. If not this year, maybe in 2, maybe in 5, maybe in 10, point being it is going to happen. Mind as well let this happen now when costs and interest rates are as low as they can be. It's only going to go up from here.
Second, I spoke with a teacher recently from this school who mentioned safety ideas have been discussed throughout the staff and administration on how to make things safer. An idea I thought was good was having steel or some sort of reinforced door on each classroom that can be shut in case of an emergency. This of course would be just one of many safety measures I would hope that would be explored but I thought it was a very good one.

Those complaining about this haven't a clue what they are talking about. And those who explained what they know about this, thank you. Refreshing that some understand that this truly is a business and for the most part the money some of these coaches are making is pretty justified.

Spoiled brat huh? I don't have the slightest clue who this girl is but two things tell me she made the right choice. The coach who wasn't playing her much at UW was let go and she is leading her current team in multiple statistical categories. UW could have used her and still could use her. Good luck to this young lady. And posterguy, when you know you can compete and aren't given the chance, I wouldn't worry about my commitment when I wasn't being treated fairly either. You only get 4 years of your life to play the sport at a University, go where the coach believes in you and is going to let you do what you do.

What is with Janesville people and wanting all these chain restaurants? You should be hoping for something like the 615 Club or La Casa Grande in Beloit. Something family owned and not ANOTHER chain in the city of chain restaurants!
