Wow, such an inconvenience to take a 5 minute break from your drink at a bar to smoke your cigarette outside then come back in. It's not like you can't smoke at all if you're out for a few or watching the game.
I live in WI, but just minutes away from MN, which does have the smoking ban, and it is SOOO nice (even my smoker friends agree) that it's nice to come home and not have your clothes smell caked with smoke.
It's also nice to not have to smell cigarette smoke while I'm eating at a restaurant - even in the non-smoking section. It's repulsive and makes me lose my appetite instantly. How is that fair to me, when a smoker could be considerate enough to take it outside for 5 minutes?
I don't think the ban is as bad as smokers are making it out to be. People are coping in MN, and businesses are still doing well.

Tater - I've heard of those, and I think they're genious!! Sad thing is, WI will probably think those also are "too harsh," as is making a 3rd-offense DUI a felony. People are going to keep doing it as long as they keep getting away with it. Tsk tsk tsk...

HA! I love that Ohio law about crushing the car! BUT, I just don't see why they let them get away with it 3 times before that. I understand 1 time, teach people "woops, pushed my luck on that one," then make the SECOND offense so scary that nobody would even think about getting caught a second time! That's how it SHOULD be. 8th time, tsk tsk... *shakes head*

I went to Craig a few years ago, and just because me and my friends left for lunch didn't mean we were drinkers, litterers, and pot smokers. We wanted fresh air, a break from school, freedom to talk, socialize, vent, listen to music, or run home. I actually still use the same tactic today at my full-time career - if I'm having a rough day, I leave for lunch.

Sure, some of you may have had a closed campus lunch and turned out fine, but I had an open campus lunch and turned out fine, too. You say why give them that priveledge, I say why take it away?

I was thinking the same thing tj24 - moving the entrance to Westward Ln. Or adding speedbumps at the entrance of Westward Ln., go over those fast a time or two and people would learn their lesson in a hurry! :)
