I find it quite ironic that Lycon is named Business of the Year. They terminated one of their management team, who was a loyal and dedicated employee for several years, on December 23rd. And, with no severance package. That doesn't sound like a Business of The Year. How disgraceful. Shame on Lycon.

I hate to ping on the City. Over all I think they do a good job, however, take a look at the trees planted along Blackbridge Road. They were planted DIRECTLY under the power lines. Hello!!!!!

On What color should I paint my nails? And other insignificant questions

Fancy Nails in the Mall offers a pink and white nail. It looks natural and very manicured. You can have it done up to three of four days ahead of time and will still look perfect for your big day. It's really durable. A french manicure can get scratched. Not with pink and white. They have pictures of it on their walls. Check it out.

On The Ears Have It

We don't bother removing the husk or silk. Nuke the ear for 3 minutes, let it cool while you finish preparing dinner. When you pull back the husk, the silk comes with it. Buter, salt, and pepper are our choice for condiments. Yum!

Matts Dawg House, R&H Drive In, AND before that it was Jack's Root Beer Stand for years! Jack's wife ran the Washington Street location and Jack ran the same on Racine Street. We made .95 per hour!

frusion, that's the point. If cars were courteous, they would lift and let the truck move over. When a truck uses their signal, MANY cars speed up because no one wants to be behind a truck - right? Rude drivers have left the trucks with no choice but to use this tactic.

'winterstinks', how does your negative commentary about trucks fit into this particular article? I see far more poor drivers of FOUR wheel vehicles than trucks. In fact, most drivers of cars drive very rudely when encountering trucks on the interstate. This country would fall to its knees without the trucking industry. How do you think the products get to the rails?? Who delivers the rail car contents to the warehouses? Who delivers the goods from the warehouses to the customer? Perhaps all SUV's should be banned as well. An SUV was connected to this crash. Do you work for the DOT and have facts about safety and crashes relating to the type of vehicle?

On A Dish to Pass

You don't say how many are in your group. Here's a dish that takes minutes to put together. The wing sauce we like is Hooters. The dish is not 'hot' as one might think.

Buffalo Chicken Enchiladas with Creamy Ranch Sauce
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 cup sour cream ranch dip
2/3 cup chopped green onions
3 cups chopped roasted deli chicken
3/4 cup purchased buffalo wing sauce
12 (6-inch) flour tortillas
3 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 13 x 9-inch glass baking dish with cooking spray.

In medium bowl, mix soup, dip and 1/3 cup of the onions. In large bowl, mix chicken and buffalo wing sauce until coated.

Spoon 2 tablespoons soup mixture down center of each tortilla; set remaining mixture aside. Reserve 1/2 cup cheese for garnish. Top each tortilla with about 1/4 cup chicken mixture and scant 1/4 cup cheese. Fold sides of tortillas over filling; place seam side down in baking dish. Spoon remaining soup mixture over filled tortillas.

Cover tightly with foil.

Bake 40-45 minutes or until hot and bubbly.

Remove from oven. Uncover; sprinkle with reserved 1/2 cup cheese and remaining 1/3 cup onions. Return to oven; bake uncovered about 5 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.

Serves 6.

I am not a pet person (allergies) but all three of my kids have dogs. I am referred to as 'Grandma' so I get it. Hopefully I will see that cute little face walking by this summer.
