This is terrific! Very nice photos and wonderful opportunity for these kids. Skating is a great sport. Once learned, its something they can enjoy and do with friends & family the rest of their lives! Wonder if Janesville does something of this type since they have the convenience of an arena.

I would have to agree that some people can be excessive in using antibacterial products. The people I am referring to just practice simple common sense good hygiene. (They aren't obsessed with cleanliness, they are just good clean people). Like going to the store and using a grocery cart or shaking hands with someone at church, using a desk at school is taking some risk in trusting that the people you are in contact with have also practiced the same common sense good hygiene. I would think that during a pandemic/epidemic (or whatever they are calling it these days) that a student could take one simple precaution without being ridiculed by a teacher.

My neighbor has a child in Milton Schools and the kid takes antibacterial wipes to school to wipe down her hands & desks when going from class to class. I for one, believe in "an ounce of prevention" but students and TEACHERS tease her and give her a hard time about it. She might be on to something, because so far she remains healthy. This teasing & immature type of behavior is typical of kids, but it doesn't say much for the teachers.
On Janesville family scrambles to find discontinued food

I agree Rowdy. I would think date of "discontinuation" is completely different than a "freshness date". Half price is about what a person would pay at Big Lots or a similiar type store that sells discontinued or overstocked merchandise.

This isn't surprising. Shorty is a great guy, been around that place for years. Hardworking with a smile he treats the customers well. He's always on the go, headed to where he's needed in the store or answering another phone page. What Shorty did for this family was wonderful. Raising a child with Autism is a huge stressful challenge. Ms. Galster asked the right person for help and I'm sure this gesture was really appreciated! Woodmans is very lucky to have him as an employee. What a kind person.

Is there any update on this little girl's condition? I'm going to pray for this family, so that there is a "good news" follow up to this story.

This is good news. Thank-you to everyone that worked hard towards getting it open again. No names mentioned because these blogs can be pretty rough on people. You all know who you are. So thanks!

Wow, nice story! Take pride Janesville in this fella. Among so many accomplishments he also looks great for 81! Hope he enjoys many more years of flying. Congratulations Mr. Wixom!
