On Parker principal announces retirement

Posted on November 16 at 1:10 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

Don't forget principals are middle management. Middle Management doesn't (want to) last long when all they get is complaints from below for doing what above demands without any support from above.

Pretty simple in the district these days: Board/Schulte demands somethings and the principals (try and) do it. It fails because Board/Schulte don't give any additional resources to get it done. Teachers are mad at the principal for making changes and extra work for something that didn't work out and Board/Schulte is mad at the principals for not making it work.

Who would stick around for more of that. The retirement announcements are far from over.

iam1to : you can not filter based on IP address based soley on large organizations. The School District, Mercy Health Systems, and a few other very large employers have THOUSANDS of computers that appear to come from fewer than 30 IP addresses each. In many cases all their computers appear from a single IP address. One student posting something nasty would eliminate all comments from other students and staff based on your suggestion.

Sounds about right. Now if the U.S. Economic Development Administration would look into the local awarding process I'm sure they'd have some similar findings.

On Heat, light, air: Janesville school officials hope to save on necessities

The computers and monitors should automatically shutdown when not in use. They also have 80% efficient power supplies to reduce consumption even when in use.

Wind power is not considered cost effective in the majority of Wisconsin especially at normal rooftop heights. Turbines need to be huge and high for them to be economical.

I'd like to see a 300' windfarm get passed by the school or city zoning board!

They could also use solar tubes for hot water generation and storage.

frusion: using outside air for cooling is not ideal due to the high humidity that would get introduced. You'd need to add an air dryer or better yet just use heat exchangers. There are some systems that even make ice overnight when it is easier and cheaper and use the ice to provide a cooling load during the day.

Ultimately saving money tomorrow costs money today and the board is so short sighted that none of those ideas will get approved. They just want everyone else to make the sacrifices.

No laws were broken: so no drugs, sexual harrasment, nor violence. Didn't involve money and nothing involving children. So he must have violated code of conduct rules.

Either he was habitualy late, swore like a GM employee, didn't wear socks (and I AM SERIOUS about that one), or used tabacco on school grounds. The last being something that would fit all of the paramaters.

Those costs should include bringing the fiber to the building which would include cutting concrete and streets, laying trenched cable and conduit, plus all the termination of the wiring. Depending on how far they have to go these prices are not that out of line.
