Zuckerberg strikes me as an arrogant narcissistic. Is that redundant? It's a bit embarrasing to even use his product.

Shopierehuh writes, "What kind of worthless parents let their kids become this nasty at such a young age? They should not let just anyone multiply."
I would add "...let their kids become this nasty at such a young age and expect society to willingly take over thier job."

There are some good insightful posts here from those who know something about the Challenge program. To those who would criticize those school board members who voted against the entire proposal to add two (2) 3rd grade Challenge classes, I would say this:
(1) Adding a single Challenge third grade class was a WIN.
(2) The Challenge program is still in place and no one who voted against the full proposal is saying the program should be discontinued. That is a GOOD thing.
(3) The Challenge program has existed in its current arrrangement for some time without the hub-bub that this current issue has raised. Maybe the addition of a third grade Challenge class should be considered a victory and something that can be added on to, perhaps in the not-too-distant future. In other words, let the issue cool down a bit. COOLER HEADS PREVAIL!

I'm with you on the GOP's "worse PR on the planet". They're not dumb just blind to the fact that they need to step up and do a much better job communicating with the masses. They can't keep letting the democrats hoodwink the public (especially women and minorities) with their brilliant demagoguery.

I have to laugh looking back at my 5th grade experience. It was 1968, Humphrey vs. Nixon. My teacher adored Hubert Humphrey so all we students had to make round paper "buttons" with HHH written on them in bright blue. We wore these in class for afternoon cheering sessions for HHH. Not a single Nixon button in the classroom.
I always thought to myself, "This is SO weird! My parents are voting for Nixon and I have to wear an HHH button..." I don't think I ever said a word to this teacher. Perhaps I stealthfully rolled my eyes.
My mother said this teacher later named her child after me. I was one of her favorite students. Thank goodness this passed and my teacher never found out what I really thought of all that! Thank goodness she never asked who our parents were going to vote for.
Don't you think INSTEAD that this teacher could have made an equal number of HHH and Nixon buttons and had the kids randomly take a button? Then each child could research the candidate's platform and report on one stanch of that candidate? Hmmm, how novel (and fair and balanced) would that have been?
Teachers, either present both sides or don't go there at all. You would expect your children's teachers to do the same, I'm sure.
