Fed - Show me where non-residents, felons, and dead people voted in WI elections prior to this law. This law will keep more residents away from the pole than prevent non-residents, felons, and dead people from voting.

Congrats gpawcat! You sure did bust that 96 year old woman! This article does go to show the actual intent of the voter ID law. It was meant to cause confusion among differnt sectors of the population to lead them to think it would be too difficult to jump through the necessary hoops to be able to vote. While the hoops may not be all to great for a large majority of the population, they cause just enough confusion for some to think either they will be turned away or it just isn't worth the hassel.

Imagainstthisrecall - I visited the Verify the Recall website hoping to see evidence of fraud the website claims was going on during the signiture process. No evidence found. If the organization was truely concerned about the integrity of the recall process, why don't they publish their evidence online on their website? Chicken M.? Really? You really think that would come from a person that wanted to recall Gov. Walker? Good luck finding the over 400,000 fake signitures needed to call off the process.

Bassman - Please cite evidence of this. I know of one case near Racine and that case it is unclear if it was an anti-Walker supporter or a Walker supporter signing his neighbors' names.

Please, everyone, if you are going to say that you know of fraud, please be specific and site real evidence.

gmaof3: "Plus, there is the idea that people were representing their neighbors, families and friends on these petitions, without the person's knowledge. I myself am posting MY name with the GAB site-list to be sure my name has NOT been hijacked by a Walker recall supporter. It HAS been documented that this has occurred."
Please cite where I can find this documentation. I am not talking about citing which right-wing website you read a blog from. Where is the factual, non-biased, documentation? I have heard of one story near Racine, but it most likely is a case of a Walker supporter trying to make a mockery of the recall process.

Poobah - Good point. Elections have always been adminstered smoothly in WI. There haven't been significant fraud in our state's history. After all, this is the birthplace of Progressive election reforms. My earlier question is probably irrelevant anyway. There would need to be about 500,000 duplicates to end the recall process.

Does the GAB have a way of detemining if duplicate signitures are the work of individuals who may have gotten a hold of Union membership lists knowing union members would most likely sign a petition? I understand that it is up to the person gathering signitures to verify the person signing is who they say they are, but if this practice did occur, the authentic signiture should still count.

"poll" not "pole". Sorry.
