On Can we bank on banks?

Posted on November 14 at 9 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

antibrainwash, if you pay your mortgage they let you stay there. When you stop paying the payments (which you agreed to in a legal contract) they take the home to pay off your debt. The fact that your home was foreclosed on doesn't mean everyone was ganging up on you, it means didn't hold up your end of the bargain.

On Janesville School Board looks at year-round school

Truth1, the article stated the year round school was beneficial in poor homes, just because some parent(s) are not wealthy does not make them worthless.

Forrest and Beverly Ware you (along with whoever else you got to sign your petition) should be ashamed of yourself. If this was a Christian religion would you be opposing it?

Sarahb- ha ha ha !! Love it !

It amazes me that a crime committed in Janesville has spawned so much Beloit bashing. I think a few of you are a little delusional to be reading the information above then sticking your nose up in the air to claim your city is so pristine…At least Beloit is aware enough to admit problems and work towards a solution. Keep sticking your head in the sand Janesville since its working so remarkably *wink wink* There is a whole company of people that had their lives interrupted and invaded today our focus should be on our community (yes Janesville you are in the same community as Beloit deal with it) and improving conditions so people don’t feel compelled to pull weapons on innocent people to meet their needs. When a gunman comes into your ‘safe’ space the repercussions do not end when he walks out the door. My thoughts are with the individuals who had their lives overturned today, and who now have to figure out what to do with the pieces.

On GM forcing workers to move to Ohio

Rico, GM is now in a position to be adding another shift, which would suggest an increase in production and strength in the business. GM is also assisting in getting some of these laid off people back to work and off supplemental programs. Obama should truly be ashamed of himself….

On Janesville police seek robbery suspect

Posted on June 30 at 6:43 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

Areyoulistening, no bank deserves to be robbed. No teller deserves to be robbed, that’s just like saying a woman is asking to be raped. No one asks for this and regardless of the amount of security/people in the bank, if someone makes the poor choice to rob a bank they are going to do it. I find it amazing that somehow the blame is being placed on the bank not the man who chose commit a federal crime. Someone looking at this picture might recognize his posture or body shape, people go out of their way to avoid the cameras and disguise their faces during a robbery. It’s not like he is going to pose for a close up upon entering the bank. Look at the picture pass it along and lets get the scum in jail where he belongs.

Idiot- “A person of profound mental retardation having a mental age below three years and generally being unable to learn connected speech or guard against common dangers” hmmm that “idiot” you speak of graduated from Harvard law. Can you say the same? And if the whole world is laughing at us, its residual laughter from bush.

On New Obama rules will transform US auto fleet

The tanks well all drive to go get are groceries or run to the mall are not necessary (most of the time, if you are one of the few that actually needs, not wants, a large vehicle don’t chew my head off I know your out there). I fully support our president in this. Our auto industry is obviously not doing so well on its own, at the point in which the government has to flood billions of dollars into an organization to simply keep the doors open, I think a few limitations, regulations, and yes even a few pink slips are not only just but most likely necessary. The world is changing and we as a nation are going to have to start to change with it. I love the idea of the consumption tax. Let the energy/resource sucking people start to pick up their share of the tab. Crafty I do not think American’s ever expanding waste line should be seen as a reason to continue with our outdated lifestyles in fact I think it’s a push in the other direction. We are killing ourselves and our environment because of the choices we are making. Our government needs to step in and but a baseline out there. I have a handicapped parent so I can see the wheelchair point to an extent, but necessity spurs inventions… the wheel chair could get a make over!
As I drive to work in the morning I often catch a man on Milton Ave riding on a bicycle that has a tandem bike attachment so he can ‘drive’ his kids to school on the bicycle. There are other options available we are just to spoiled the see them as viable options. This guy could have a fleet of “ginormous SUV’s” at home for all I know, but instead of hoping in one of them to drop the kids off at school, he uses his bicycle.
Hey Kid, im right there on the line with you, legalize it and tax the bejesus out of it! Smoke it, toss it in the fuel tank whatever you want to do with it but its time. Perhaps you could petition to someone to be the “pilot” program…

On Watertown man accused of trying to kill fetus

Unless you have a uterus and are able to give life to a child, you should keep your opinion to yourself. Gentlemen, if you have a problem with abortion perhaps you should start volunteering and training young men to be more responsible. These women are not getting in this predicament by themselves. As for this man, if someone (man or woman) punched my belly while there was a baby in it, I would do everything I could to prosecute him. If he were to beat the infant out of the womb to kill it, we would all think he should be prosecuted; the fact that the child was still in utero changes nothing.
