I imagine if it were truly life threatening the city would have made more of an effort to notify affected residents. Has anyone heard it on tv or radio?

Just want to clarify an earlier comment. Mercy Hospice has not been closed. Haven House is the hospice residence that is closing. Mercy Hospice will continue to provide hospice services in Rock and Walworth counties.

We had a fire in our home about 5 years ago. Insurance was great to work with but then dropped us when premium was up for renewal because we had filed a claim (their words). I wonder if this is common practice?

sannio, I agree with you entirely! I couldn't understand why the article was written in the past tense as if she has died. I found it a little insulting and I don't even know this woman. I can't imagine how family and friends would feel reading it.
