On Postal Service may close 5 Wis facilities

Posted on September 15 at 2:24 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

Maybe start lowering the pay. They are WAY overpaid for what they do. I mean, I feel for those that have to deliever mail in the freezing rain and such but so do newspaper delievers and they get paid SOO much less!!! If they started cutting pay some maybe thousands of people won't end up being out of work because they have to close their doors. Common sense. Would you work for less or not have a job at all??

On Record high gas prices in Wisconsin

I love how people "justify" the gas prices now that Obama is president and I'd be willing to bet that they were the same ones crying foul when it happened during Bush's presidency. I'm really getting sick and tired of the hypocricy of people! If you're gonna blame bush for everything that went wrong, do the same for Obama.. otherwise keep your comments to yourself.

Westorbust... if it went the other way and Prosser was ahead by only 204 votes, the dems would be screaming voter fraud too... lets not fool ourselves.

On Teen club to open Friday in Janesville

This really is a wonderful thing! Good for you for establishing the rules! Nowadays, you have to have so many rules just to keep the kids safe. MikeF.. as far as the dress code, he is right on. The way kids dress these days is completely appalling.

There was something very similar to this where I grew up and I loved it! There would be a dj every friday night and the occasional live band and I looked forward to it all the time. Unfortunately, it was always geared towards middle school kids so by the time I was in high school, it wasn't cool to hang out there anymore, so good for you for making separate nights for the kids!!

On Janesville group to hold anti-war vigil

Youkillme... They voted to cancel it because they weren't using the money. Of the more than 8 billion that was set aside for it only 50 million has been used. They want to use the money to help pay down the federal deficincy.. Do your homework beforehand.

And as far as the rest of the comments about how we need to pull out of all these places... you must not know a thing about war. You cannot just pull out of a place that is still being rebuilt. Every soldier in the military knows that there is the possibility of being deployed. Its not a surprise or shock. They choose to do it so instead of whining, support them. Don't whine and complain about the war because they don't wanna hear it. Trust me, I know. I was a soldier, my husband and brother are soldiers and many of my friends are as well. They don't look at it like we shouldn't be over there. They look at it selflessly, that we are trying to help these people. So step off your pedestals and realize if people spent half the time they do complaining about everything that's wrong, and spent that time helping others and caring this world would be a much better place.

On Guard soldiers learning about guarding prisoners

And besides.. the national guard wouldn't need too much training on it since that's what they did overseas for a year. Personally, I'd rather pay our military anyways. At least they show up for work when they are suppose to.

That's true packoflies, but its just paying a different set of people.. our military over the actual guards. Either way its us who pays them, regardless of who does it

Packolies - Walker has no control over what the military gets paid... that's all on the president and that includes benefits.. so good try

On U.S. Rep. Kagen: Afghanistan trip shows need to leave

If it was turning into Vietnam, we'd be dying left and right. Leave the decision about taking the troops out to those who know what they are talking about. Not some dude who probably doesn't even know the first thing about war. And if we took even half of the money that we spend on illegals in this country and gave it to our military, maybe we'd have the proper equipment to take care of our soldiers and help them finish the task at hang in Afghanistan.
