On Should Pack go for perfection or exercise caution?

Perfection is nice, but not at the cost of injuries to key players. The Packers should concentrate on the homefield advantage, then rest their key players.

On Milton City Council approves tax increase

I disagree with fearadndrhetoric.

Upgrading the park to include better baseball fields make sense to me. Additional usage, especially if a tournament can be attracted, means additional long term revenue for the city with only a nominal investment.

As to the school property, on whose property do the fences sit? The city's or the school district's? If the property is owned by the city, then the school has lost nothing.

On Committee approves county weapons ban

Twerp & freedomfighter--it is evident that you have not read the resolution.
Twerp: pepperspray is not mentioned either in the statute or the county board resolution. There is no ban on pepperspray. Also, your question about pocket knives was answered at the committee meeting. Read the article and where Atty Long answers it.
Freedomfighter: see my response to spark and the quote from Justice Scalia. Also, there is a specific exemption for gunshows. Finally, the threat of litigation to a lawyer means nothing. It's what they do.

Brwe--
Have you ever read or heard the story of "The Pied Piper?" Do you have even the vaguest idea what it means?

Spark-
I suggest that its YOU that needs a history lesson.
In writing for the majority in the 2nd amendment case, District of Columbia v. Heller, found at 554 U.S. 570, Justice Scalia wrote:
"Like most rights, the right secured by the Second Amendment is not unlimited. It is not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose: For example, concealed weapons prohibitions have been upheld under the Amendment or state analogues. The Court's opinion should not cast doubt on longstanding prohibitions on the possession of firearms by felons and the mentally ill, or laws forbidding the the carrying of firearms in sensitive places such as schools and government buildings, or laws imposing conditions on the commercial sale of arms."

On Walker: Results show voters want bipartisanship

Posted on August 10 at 4:36 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

Before Republicans get excited about these results, they should realise that two of their ilk representing Republican leaning districts were booted out. Walker will now have to face recall involving ALL the Wisconsin districts. He should expect much larger anti-Walker margins in the Democratic districts and closer margins in the others. This doeas not bode well for him if the Dems can get a credible candidate to run against him--like maybe Russ Finegold.
Beam yourself outa here Scotty!

"Walker: Results show voters want bipartisanship"

It's too bad that it took recall elections to get this thru Walker's thick skull.

"Republican state Rep. Chris Kapenga ... says he believes several people were "bought out" by police and fire unions to stop them from being included in a bill curbing collective bargaining rights."

Chief amongst them being Scott Walker.
