On Rock County's health behaviors worsen

Posted on November 21 at 10:06 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

Hey 2dognight......I own a water treatment business that deals in Nitrate issues in ground water supplies. The EPA limit is 10 mgl.
Most people do not know that Janesville city water ranges from 6-10 mg/l on a consistant basis. High Nitrate levels are caused from ammonification in the soil from farmers knifing in ammonnia into the soil and from manure spredding. Both are great furtilizers that help plant growth but are horrible for shallow wells that are less than 100 feet. The DNR warns about nitrates because it can contribute to blue baby syndrome or cancer. See DNR publication PUB-DG-001 2004. These ill effects can be issues only if the water is consumed. Bathing is normally not an issue.
The remedy for nitrates is normally using a reverse osmosis device that will supply treated water to a separate faucet on your sink
and a line to your ice maker. feel free to contact me: integrity@elknet.net

Whats wrong Russ Steeber, are not people hurting enough with this down economy. How many people out their have installed water softeners, water heaters, windows, decks, fences, etc without permits, thousands I bet over the years. Most of these people bought their base products through the big box stores to save money because they themselves or a friend of thiers knew how to install these products. Russ Steeber is a militant self rightous law enforcement officier who has never had to feel the pain of saving a buck. Being a government paid employee gives him job security that the rest of us do not have. Opening the door to his gustapo type tatics will only serve to create a "bar the door" policy to any accessor. If the council continues to intertain this punitive motion, I would suggest making the accessor sign a non-disclosure agreement upon entering the premesis, that would make his data for assessment puposes only and could not be forwarded or viewed by code officials. If the accessor failed to sign the document he can come back with a valid search warrant and a couple of police officiers to serve it. In essence this would cost the city untold dollars in overtime and legal fee's to police a few thousand houses. Maybe then Russ Steeber can bring his swat team, which he is a member of, to your door and take you out in hand cuffs only to make you a felon. All this for
your failure to pull a $50.00 permit fee. It's time to kick steeber off the council before he initiatates ordinances that would make janesville the Police State capitol of Wisconsin.

Jay Winzense has a forever bone to pick with her. Winzense is like a newspaper. Once you tick them off they will use a barrel full if ink to bury you. In Winzense case he has a
barrel full of code inspectors to pick apart
any property that you may own.

I agree with whoanelie. "Write in" candidate Greg Addie entered the race because of the 850 dollar bail out. Addie wants term limits in Congress. I find it interesting that WCLO's blog page cut out his opening statement while he debated Paul Ryan on Jat-TV. Go Greg!!!!
