On Fort DMV center on chopping block?

I hear the same arguements for just about all topics related to government--the "people" don't agree so show the studies by independent sources proving that is necessary.
the "people" want it but should NOT have to show any studies done by independent sources to prove the necessity and if they don't get it without the proof "the government is out to get the underdog"

I guess I should have said that voting is a privlege for those that are US citizens and follow the laws set forth by the United States of America. and now one of those laws is that you need a photo ID to vote, so follow the rules or you don't get to cash in on the privlege. The intent is not to keep anyone from voting. If it doesn't mean enough to you to be inconvienced one time to get yourself to a place to get that state ID then that is your problem.

I have to say that I agree with the new law requiring photo ID to vote. If you have to inconvience yourself one time to take someone to a DMV to get a current photo ID too bad. Voting and driving are privleges you earn and sometimes getting a privlege is not always convientent.
On Whitewater police chief might have to pay to resign post

Whitewater should never have rehired him back in 2006 after he quit and then came crawling back after 2 weeks begging for his job back. That was the 2nd time he had quit and then came crawling back. He should pay the 10,000 that is the agreement he signed.

compulsory school age is 6. Kindergarten is not required, and if it is offered the contact hours are half what it is for grade 1. Why are districts mandating full day kindergarten? Why are they offering pre Kindergarten? Why 4K? There are preschools and daycares that offer the same services where these children already attend. Why are we making it free for parents now to get the same services they were paying for yesterday? If a family cannot afford it there is Head Start that offers these programs free of charge to children ages 3-5 who are low income.

this is a wonderful thing for this group to do! I agree with offering to the women to watch and be taught how to do these simple tasks so they can do it themselves in the future. I learned these skills from my dad before I even had a car , and have even taught some men how to do them!

Let's also keep in mind that these families who get food stamps/ quest cards also qualify for free breakfast and lunch at school and during the summer can get free lunches handed out at local parks. Parents need to make more healthy food choices for their families, especially if they are using my tax dollars for that food. Food Stamp "checks" like WIC would be a good change, then they can only get the healthy choices.

If this "school employee" felt it was sexual harrassment and made her feel uncomfortable for Lindau to be asking her if she wanted a "weiner" at a cookout where he was clearly serving the food then why was she there?? She obviously has other issues that go beyond this incident. "Your place or mine" I cannot count the times I have used the phrase when setting up a meeting it simply means "your office or mine, your school or mine, etc" The TAGOS program has lost a great leader and those kids a great role model. Unfortunately, when someone accuses of sexual harrassment there are no clear cut guidelines, it looks different to everyone.
