On Teachers reject Janesville School Board's offer
Posted on September 13 at 8:49 p.m. ( Suggest removal )
everyone I know pays something towards their pension and health insurance. Many of us have taken concessions to help us get through these hard economic times. Teachers say the great education of our children must come first. If so, Why are they not willing to make concessions so schools will not be closed and insure the same great education we are used to. SHAME on you members of the Teachers Union.

The only thing Joe Knilans is guilty of is his honesty. Many politicians use different addresses listed as their residency. Joe was up front on his situation. Many in this area are dealing with the hard times. Trying to sell homes, losing our jobs, etc. Thank you Joe for being honest. this is why so many voted for you. Good luck and God Bless

lets wait to hear his proposal first. The way the Dems are going, we'll all be broke anyway. By the way, I am a Democrat. (just thought I would let all know before the bashing begins)
On Census jobs still available

It wasn't fair to suggest people are not signing up to work for the census because they would rather collect unemployment and stay home with their families. What do people do when this part time job is finished? Bills have to be paid. We need permanent jobs. In this day and age, who would go knocking on strangers doors anyway.

the government has no business running our health care. look at medicare. it is almost broke. maybe the government should monitor the insurance companies, drug companies and hospitals.(look at a hospital bill and see how much they charged you for a q-tip!) Get this country on its feet and create jobs.

Good Luck to all the GM employees who received their transfers. You have to do what it takes to take care of your families. You are willing to give 110% to do just that. May your transition go smoothly and God Bless.

Hard times are here. Most people I know had picnics in their back yards. People bring a dish to pass. Sure it was free to get in. Food, Rides,Etc. cost money. For $5.00 a vehicle We went to Devil's Lake State Park. Hiking, swimming, Baseball, picnic. Went to free Fireworks in Baraboo. What a wonderful back to basic Holiday.

Good to know that if I am ever arrested I can shove an officer into a screen door and hit him repeatedly with the sides of my fists. As long as I do not hurt the officer I can not be arrested for a felony. A "Past Practice" has just opened up. Can't show favoritism. Let the fights begin!
