This is really old out of date political issue. The military has had a fast-track to citizenship thats been around a long long time. An article a few years ago said over 50,000 members of the armed forces applied and received U.S. Citizenship under the military program since the fast-track began. The foreign recruits some are better educated, and bilingual with critical skills the military needs.

I would also like to see the veteran's parents also get preferred residency status. (a veteran with U.S. citizenship could be a sponsor for their parents)

I was aware a couple years ago when Democrats controlled all three branches of government. You (democrats) raided/drained the transportation fund then increased license plate registration 50% cause it was broke. Raided the malpractice trust fund 200 million that had to be paid back. Confiscated 25 million in cell phone overcharges for 911 upgrades. Raised taxes 2.2 billion that didn't solve the budget short fall. Received 2.2 billion in stimulus from the federal government. Increased Badgercare enrollment with no way to pay for it the next year after the stimulus ran out. Wisconsin is 40 billion dollars in total debt with no way to pay for it. Ya, we were paying attention. This is why the democrats lost the 2010 election. The Bureau of Labor statics say Wisconsin's unemployment is 7.1 in December, a downward trend the past year. Your statement, "we’ve lost jobs for six straight months" makes your article unreliable.

With the EPA's new rules going into effect about the old out dated coal fired plants being closed down, people will be forced to conserve energy when their monthly energy bill goes up.
Wisconsin has three
coal-fired plants in Wisconsin at which federal regulators allege violations of the Clean Air Act but state regulators do not.
The EPA lists nine coal-fired power plants in Wisconsin as being "high-priority violators" of the Clean Air Act — sites that regulators believe are in urgent need of attention.
Retired/lower income Wisconsin citizens will need help paying their heat bills.
We all want clean air, but I need heat in the winter, and electricity that is affordable.

Word on the street is the Republican establishment is dumping Romney and will bring in another RINO to beat Gingrich, Santorum, and Paul.
One thing these rich elite east coast Republicans hate more than Democrats, is conservatives, especially fiscal conservatives.

I don't hate Mitt, he just can't win against the guy that "got Osama". The media will swift boat Mitt the minute he is nominated. Obama will get four more years if Mitt is the
Republican nominee. Newt already put the Democrats on notice he is tired of the media protecting Obama. To me this implies if you (media & Democrats) bring up my personal life, I will bring up Obama's personal life.

Mitts grand-parents were American citizens Gaskell Romney (1871–1955) and Anna Amelia Pratt (1876–1926); natives of Utah, they married in 1895 in Mexico and lived in Colonia. Dublán, Galeana, in the state of Chihuahua (one of the Mormon colonies in Mexico) where George (Mitts father)was born. They practiced monogamy. It was Mitt Romneys Great
Grandparents were polygamous Mormons who fled the United States with their children due to the federal government's opposition to polygamy. It was during the Mexican Revolution the Romney family fled and returned to the United States in July 1912. His maternal great-grandfather was Helaman Pratt (1846–1909), who presided over the Mormon mission in Mexico City.
It would be a stretch to call the Romney family Hispanic.

Mitt Romney is a flawed candidate that the Democrats & the elite media are jamming down our throats so Obama gets four more years.
I'm going to predict the surprise the minute Romney gets the nomination.
This will be used by Democrats;
Chicken-hawks are abundant among the warmongers dictating public policy. Here is perhaps the worst hypocrisy of all is from Mitt Romney. His excuse at dodging the draft? Religion
I understand a conscientious objector, but no conscientious objector would advocate for something they object to. Mitt Romney would send your children to die without a care in the world except for the profits of the military industrial complex. Mitt's dad George was a hawk during Viet Nam. Now Mitt wants to be Commander-in-Chief!
The same goes for George Bush. I didn't see his daughters serving in the armed forces.
Here is a Ron Paul ad. Go Newt, Rick, any one but Mitt.

Tea party people upset? I'm not upset, I'm cool with the decision. BTW, in one poll 26% of TEA party people will NOT vote for Mitt Romney under any circumstances.
