What kind of business do you have that you have to stand on the corner?

Glad that MOST people here have a sense of humor. Maybe if SOME people would spend more time interacting with the CUSTOMERS they DO have instead of having to post something on every blog written, they would have more customers.

Hannah,
You are blaming the economy because you have nobody to talk to?

I would like to think that this is a great idea, but most people who would have any kind of trouble clearing snow already have a support group of some kind. It would be the same people who have someone else mow the lawn because of a disability, age, or gone on business. If you look at the sidewalks that aren't shoveled during the winter, look next summer at who doesn't have their lawn mowed. Probably the same people. I will always help a neighbor out. I have one who will clear my sidewalk if I don't have time before work in the morning. I do the same for him in the evening or weekends. The people on the other side never do it. I do because I live close to two schools and would hate to see a kid get hurt because the people are too lazy to shovel.

Good news for me. Maybe I can get below 20,000 on the season ticket waiting list. We need about 100 of these people a week. Would only take me about 20 years at that rate. Right now my great-great grandchildren MIGHT get to the top of the list. If you get booted out of the stadium, get booted off of the list.

This is only about a 40 minute ride to begin with. What will this save them, about 5 to 10 minutes? For what the assembly, senate, and the governor make in pay, how much time did this take out of their sessions to save opposing teams maybe a little over 60 minutes throughout the whole season? I know the Packers bring a ton of money to that region, but what do they care how long it takes a team to get there from Appleton. The longer and crappier the bus ride the better.

Maybe some of the parents of the kids who are posting here should go back to class with their children. It is getting so difficult to read the comments because of poor spelling and punctuation.
In other countries that I have been to, English is required if you want to attend a college or university. Why not have some other languages taught at a younger age. Kids this age just soak up what they learn so much better than high school kids, and much better than adults. I don't think it matters if it is Chinese, Spanish, French, Italian, Russian, or Arabic languages. Making it mandatory might not be the answer, but having the classes is a great idea. Having a second or even third language that you can speak will only help in the future. Employment opportunites will be vast compared to people who only have English as their spoken language.
