For now Ryan will have to settle for living in the former Parker mansion (sigh).

Congratulations Deb!! I voted for Knilans two years ago and ended up sorry that I did. IMOP he didn't think for himself or act in the best interests of the majority of his constituents. Actions (or inactions as the case may be) have consequences and now the time has come to pay the piper.

Very well said dg468! My sentiments exactly. Bowlgal, you're the one who needs to start acting like an adult. It's because of narrow-minded attitudes like yours that our country is in the mess it is. Everyone needs to be civil, compromise and work across party lines for the good of ALL citizens. If the folks in Washington are able to do that I think great things can happen over the next four years!

On Walker talks about lessons learned from recall

What I am ashamed of is the dirty pool the rethugs played during the election process and the hateful thinking and attitudes of the folks that "stand with walker" (i.e. YOU). I suppose you think it was ok for your party to force a primary election by putting fake dems on the recall ballots? That cost taxpayers uneccessary millions for an extra election as well, but i don't hear you complaining about that. hypocrisy knows no bounds...

If the repubs had control of the senate and the assembly, i would not put it past walker to call a special session and ram through more damaging legislation. So although it may seem like an inconsequential victory, democratic control of the senate is a good thing.

All walker did was prove that political positions are sold to the highest bidder. He should have been focused on creating jobs 18 months ago. Even before all the recall hoopla began, he was not focused on creating jobs--only on lining the pockets of his corporate backers while sticking it to the working class people. Funny how walker supporters don't feel it is hyppocritical to make public employees bear their "fair share" of the burden in tough economic times (and they should, to a certain degree but stripping their collective bargaining rights was not necessary), but its ok to allow big businesses and the wealthy to avoid shouldering their share and continue getting handouts at the taxpayer's expense. walker's so-called "focus on jobs" will only last until he needs to go out of state again looking for handouts to replenish his legal defense fund.

Let me get this straight: it's okay that walker declares himself the gubernatorial recall winner but its not ok for the dems to declare they have control of the senate? (Oh wait, the 21st district might find an extra 1,000 votes for wanggaard out on the back porch next to the soda, just give them some time). Seems some folks are talking out of both sides of their mouth depending on how the situation suits them. C'mon righties, you won the "big" election, you have to let the dems have their day in the sun too. Even if they only have Senate control until November, it may be long enough to keep walker from doing further damage before he goes to prison.
On MPD says it's 'evaluating' threats against Walker

donnaw, I bet you had the same sentiments about Ted Nugent's inappropriate comment about commiting a violent act on Obama? I do not in any way condone the threats against walker; HOWEVER, when his political strategy is to pit friends, neighbors, coworkers and family members against each other and send a message of hate and envy, it's not surprising that he gets a little of what he's dishing out.
