onelife2live - private schools are subjected to many state and federal regulations for safety and other reasons?

That is your argument.....safety regulations? How about holding these schools responsible for state and federal regulations when it comes to education!? Academic progress? Test scores? Any of the same things the public schools are held accountable for. Maybe these private schools outperform public schools because they are held to zero accountability, they can pick and choose which students to educate (unlike public schools) and they generally have parents who are extremely involved (unlike most public schools). Level the playing field between public and private schools and the results would not look so good for private schools.

Schools can do both...just because they are trying to become more attractive by offering more athletic opportunities does not mean they are not also working on improving academics.

Better send your redistricting friends in Madison a thank you note because that is the only reason you won re-election!

You sure did think Walker had a mandate when he was first elected with a 2% majority.

At least Romney and Thompson could show some class when the lost....I guess that was asking too much from their supporters on these comments.

On Judge strikes down Wis. law limiting union rights

I love how conservatives like to bash judges and label them "activist" when the judge overturns a law they like yet they have no problem when a judge overturns a law they don't like. Never hear them call the judge "activist" then.

I haven't even read a single comment yet, but I would bet anything that wislady was one of the first people on here claiming they are all false signatures!

Wislady.....I hope you don't believe everything you see on youtube. Who is to say that those are not repubs dressed up to shoot this video to make the recall effort look bad. It wouldn't be the first time the repubs tried to interfere with the recall effort. Burning petitions, tearing up petitions......it goes on and on.
