On Groups file signatures to recall Gov. Walker

I haven't even read a single comment yet, but I would bet anything that wislady was one of the first people on here claiming they are all false signatures!

On Recall organizers report 105,000 signatures so far

Wislady.....I hope you don't believe everything you see on youtube. Who is to say that those are not repubs dressed up to shoot this video to make the recall effort look bad. It wouldn't be the first time the repubs tried to interfere with the recall effort. Burning petitions, tearing up petitions......it goes on and on.

On Wisconsin governor supports bill to curb 'double-dipping’

Donnaw....very simple. If I retire, my position needs to be filled with someone else. That person has to be paid a salary, benefits and a pension. If I am hired back on to fill that spot on a temporary or limited basis they do not have to pay me benefits or pay into my pension. This happens often with positions that are hard to fill.

On Walker reviewing proposed concealed carry rules

Posted on October 13 at 8:59 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

The Republicans get this law passed, the Republican Attorney General sets the guidelines for the rules.....most Republicans are happy about this and then......a powerful interest group is not happy and Walker must now "review" the guidelines. I would almost bet money that those guidelines will change. Just a coincidence?

brwe, if the people had a problem with the way democrats ruled for decades they had the option of using recalls. Did they? Why not?

For all of you complaining about bias...don't you have clue what your reading? It's a blog...not a news article. Blogs are meant for people to express their opinions. Do you whine and cry about bias when the editor of the paper writes an editorial? I'm pretty sure that somewhere around the blog there is a disclaimer from the gazette that points this out. If you don't like the blog quit reading it or at least comment with some constructive criticism. Your complaints of bias are getting old.

On Baldwin says she’s likely to run for US Senate

Freebird you really need to figure out what your talking about. The majority of the state did not vote for him....he won with around 52% or 54% of the vote. That is not a majority of people in WI it is barely a majority of those who voted.

I love the comment about "teachers who rake in the money." It shows just how ignorant people can be.

On Wis. worker groups file suit to block budget bill

Its a federal issue if the court finds the law violates the 1st and 14th amendments. Not saying they will rule that way but that would make it a federal issue.

On School worker opens checkbook for district

Cass....where are you getting your figures? I highly question your claims. At the very least you are just cherry picking the amounts that possibly the supervisors make, and I even doubt that. I highly doubt food service workers make $17 an hour. My mother has worked in school food service (not in Janesville) for 25 years and makes no where near that amount. It may not be in Janesville but I doubt there would be that much difference between the two areas.
