At our school, we don't honor a lot of the parent requests, except for a few exceptions, and the reason we don't do this is because once you honor a request from one parent, then you need to honor them all. Of course, there are exceptions, but they have to be some very rare scenarios.

I watched the Jets last night (we have direct tv, love it), Brett did awesome while he was out there! He may be "old" in football years, but you wouldn't think it watching him on the field. He is also the fun-loving guy off the field fooling around and laughing with his team mates. The packers management really screwed up, yes this will be a rebuilding year, but it didn't have to be! It's going to be a long season for the pack.

Teachers get 2 personal days a year. One for each semester. To answer your second question, no they do not get vacation time in addition to their scheduled breaks.

I live in Milton. I can not wait for this to open. To take my dog to the "doggie" daycare in Janesville is $20. To have this park right by my house and to have my dog socialize and get his energy used up in a dog park will be awesome!

Great job boys, but if I read the article correctly, it looks like they already won the state title, when in fact, they need to win tomorrow to be the state winners. Am I correct, or just reading wrong?

Maybe the school board should concentrate on more important things (like a contract for their teachers, etc) then worrying about a middle school's logo. My kids went through there and I didn't even know they were called the Raiders. Who cares?!

ljs64 - educators do have their backgrounds investigated before they can work in any school district. When a district wants to hire someone, that individual has to go down to the sheriffs department or police station and have his/her fingerprints taken. These are then sent to the state and the FBI to check on backgrounds.
