On Snow totals range from 6 to 10 inches

Posted on December 1 at 9:13 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

I had no problem with my street not being plowed. It really wasn't that bad. But I just got home from going across town (I live on South Side) and this moron at the 5 points intersection decided it was his turn to go on the red light. He turned off of Court St left onto Center Ave. He almost plowed right into a pick-up which in turn would have hit me. People really need to watch what they are doing. It may not be extremely slippery out but there are some slick spots. The man ended up having to back up and go around the center divider because he was facing oncoming traffic. He is lucky noone was coming in that direction. Please please please people be cautious, if your not comfortable driving in the snow find someone who will drive you.

On Janesville's Police Department continues to struggle to recruit officers of color

I agree with you piznat!!! I don't care what color their skin is, as long as they are qualified. When I need an officer, that officer better know what to do, I don't want someone saying "I don't know what to do, the JPD hired me cuz I'm black/latino/etc." This is an exaggeration, by the way! I just want officers that know what they are doing and can serve and protect our town!

On One dead in Janesville crash

This intersection is horrible. The speed limit should be reduced to at least 45 mph before getting to this intersection. I've had a couple near misses, when my light just turned green and someone coming west on Hwy 11 can't slow down for the red light. Always look before going though ANY intersection. Just be on alert. A lot of times things can't be avoided, that is why it is an accident. But sometimes they could have been avoided. Just be on alert at all times.

This is sad. I never even heard the sirens and I only live a couple blocks from there. I hope all the other injured people are okay. My thoughts are with all the families.

On Appleton man killed while hunting

morgansmom~ Rice Lake was a horrible tragedy and I am glad that people still remember. My father was friends with the man and his son that were killed. That town was the saddest town I had ever been in after it happened (rightfully so) it was all blaze orange for the hunters that died. All those hunters will be missed forever.

On Lake Geneva man accused of making advances on girl

pwtrip~I think you need your head examined! I don't care how old a girl is, she does not deserve to have a 53 year old man make advances on her. Its disgusting. It does not matter what she looks like. She is not 18 so he has no right even trying to pursue anything or even disiring her.

On Hunters find body in Fond du Lac County

This makes me really sad. I hope whoever is missing their daughter gets the closure they need. And I hope that whatever happened to her is figured out and IF it was intentionally done by someone than that person needs to be held responsible. My thoughts are with whatever family this woman belongs to.
