dustyd, if you think all those things about him, you are basing your opinion on what? From the readings I have done I don't agree. His back ground is actually very diverse with opinions that have leaned both ways depending on the topic.

If you must drive through deep water (axle level or deeper) keep in mind that oil seals are design to keep a heavier, thicker fluid inside differentials and not to keep water out. If you find yourself having to drive through deep water, after the water has gone down have the differentials and transfer cases on 4wd trucks serviced. The fluid will more than likely be contaminated with water and it turns into a expensive repair if ignored. Extending the exhaust up in the air is the least of worries if trying to turn your truck in to an amphibious vehicle. Air intake, brakes, ignition system are all things that would be more important than the exhaust pipe.
