Wish I could tell the company I work for that "I just don't fit in".

I am sure they would cut me down to 3 hrs a day, pay me a "full time" salary, with full time benefits(diploma?)
... just to keep me there and keep me INTERESTED!!
NOT LIKELY TO HAPPEN in the REAL WORLD!

Wake up kids, or you will be SADLY dissappointed when "real life" kicks your buns!!

On Walk in the Woods

Walks in the woods, in the Fall! It doesn't get any better than this!
I have always done a "walk" with the kids at semester break in Nov. Only have one in school now, (16) but last Friday, took that one and a friend shopping. After shopping... my 16 yr old asked if we couldn't "go down to the river and skip rocks", like we always USE to do this time of year!? Of course we did... and it was windy and cool, but we taught her friend how to skip rocks. That ROCKS!!! Nothing better, or more fun than spending time outside, skipping rocks, and swinging on swings!!
No matter HOW OLD you are!! It NEVER gets old!!

On Vanishing Halloween Candy: Is the Switch Witch to Blame?

All good ideas here. Never had much a problem with "overindulging" at our place. Kids usually picked their fav's, the rest went into "community" bowl for all. A couple days later, the leftovers went to the office, and filled lots of empty candy jars there. Love seeing the kids, and answering the door, but.... don't like to hear "awww, I wanted -----, can't I have -----?" This is a random pick kids! You get 2/3 pcs, same as the last kid. Please don't ask for something else. Luck of the draw! Also, please SAY "trick or treat" when that door is opened! Say it LOUDLY- enjoy it, and have fun! It's only once a year that you get do this!! Also... mind your manners- a "thank you" goes a LONG way! Had few guests this year... but have to say the taller and older "kids" were MORE polite and thankful than some of the youngsters! Halloween is for them too!! It's all in good fun; wish I could go trick or treating again!! Just mind your manners, stay safe, and look out for "the little ones"!!

They grow your groceries,
haul a load,
pull you out then fix the road,
they're good at slowin' speeders down
when they pass through from out of town.
We'll live out in the country
happily ever after
We've got everything we need,
"cause we've got friends with tracors.

Slow down, get off the phone, and get there ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a GOOD thing, nothing else. For those afraid of a brainwashing; Do you have TEENAGERS at home? If so, you will most likely agree, you cannot "make" them do anything they don't "want" to do. I'm not talking about following rules, doing chores, etc...... I'm talking about "going along with the crowd". If you have raised your kids to have a mind of their own, and make their own REASONABLE decisions, brainwashing will not occur due to spending a couple hours "playing" at church. If they decide to check it out further, they should be welcome to. Are YOUR morals, values, and faith all exactly the same as your parents raised you? Probably not, although some will be close. I'd much rather my teen was checking out different faiths, than checking out different drug dealers, bars, and underage booze parties on a friday night. JMO.

On Councilmen ask Janesville to get tough on snowy sidewalks

Posted on October 26 at 7:51 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

unknown comic...
"How many times have you shoveled your sidewalk after a big snowstorm and the plow comes by 50mph and pushes the big chunks right back on the sidewalk? When that happens my snowblower won`t go through it. And the snow is even heavier to shovel".

NO WONDER???... Where should that snow go??????? If you want your STREET CLEAR OF THE SNOW... ??? DO NOT BLAME THE PLOW DRIVERS!!!!! They are CLEARING THE SNOW FROM YOUR STREET!!!

If this irritates you, you should move to a warmer climate and you would not have to worry about this. This is WISCONSIN- It SNOWS.... it SNOWS HARD...... IF You have to complain about it....... you shouldn't be here!!!
