I was at this accident shortly after it happened and it looked really bad. The buckle in the highway was horrible. My prayers are with the motorcyclists/victims and have much appreciation for the swiftness of all the medical, fire, and law enforcement personnel.

janesvillan... I'd be curious to know where you got her name, didn't see it in any of the articles. Kudos to your investigating!
What I find frustrating is that the judges aren't always handing down the maximum sentences on these multiple OWI cases- maybe they are in other parts of the state, but around here it doesn't always seem to be the case. Unless the Courts show a "get tough" approach, the message is lost on how severe these crimes are. Under WI law it takes a 5th offense OWI to become a felony- sentence these people to PRISON, not PROBATION!

"...If she does not comply with the terms of her probation, she would be back in his court facing “very serious consequences,” the judge said." The charges were plead down to a misdemeanor- she'd probably be looking at 9 months jail (and no doubt with work release), not a prison term. Very serious consequences?! Hmmm....

These jokes ARE funny! Even Brett Favre is cashing in- I saw a clip of a Sears commercial on TV last night that has Favre poking fun at himself about people being "undecided."
