On Artistry in steel: Knife show cuts many ways

That makes sense if you take the time to go there and see the beauty in some of these knives. Many of them have pattern forged blades and natural handles that are beautifully crafted by these masters. Masters who pour their energy into their craft to make something truly unique instead of judging others.

Parker's conferences will follow the same time schedule as Craig's. I do not know the building details, I assume they are in the cafeteria area on the first floor.

Why dig so fast? So an out of state company can take all the profits and run! I'm all for responsible mining but this smells of political pay back. Let's take 3 to 6 months and make sure that beautiful part of this great state isn't ruined for ever!! Have you ever been there? We need to be POSITIVE this pristine land stays that way!
On Thundershirts help ease anxiety in foster dogs

Friends of Noah is a great organization and does wonderful things for stray pets. We've fostered for them before and will do so again. One of our dogs, Jack rescued from Illinois Bird Dog Rescure benefits from a Thundershirt. He is getting older and a little more skittish and the shirt helps him be more calm.
Any help you can give to Friends of Noah, or if you need a dog/cat etc. check them out or any of the other great organizations on Petfinder.com before you spend over twice as much at the mall. I firmly believe that adopted pets know that they have been rescued and are appreciative. Both of our rescued dogs are amazing.

On Annual Bags of Hope event feeds the needy, but could even more be done?

A huge thank you to the hundreds of people who volunteered. When asked how it is so organized? It is simple. People chip in and do anything asked of them to help out. People standing in the rain, driving all over Rock county, sweeping floors, sorting cans, moving TONS of food by hand or forklift. Students taking extra food to ECHO and the Salvation Army. "Yes I can do that!" or "What else can I do?" were heard all over that facility Saturday morning.
A huge thank you to Landair for the use of the warehouse, and Seneca and Fox River Foods for donations. Woodman's who stretches every dollar, and organizes the food. The truck drivers, and fork lift operators. The hundreds of people who donated money. It is truly a work of hope and love!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

On Event benefits hundreds of Janesville-area needy families

Let me clarify for the misinformed out there.
All of the money used in this food drive was from private donations. There was no government money used at all. The warehouse was donated by a private company, the food either purchased with donated money, or by private companies.
There was no government envolvement. Please do not take this great outpouring of help, love and hope by hundreds of people and use it to express your own bitter private agenda. Their hard work was by their own choice and deserves nothing but postive comments.
On Dress code for Janesville public school staff is up for a vote

I agree with "factsplease" this version is much "cleaner" and makes more sense. As a teacher, I (like 99%) of the staff already follow this code. The original code definately needed some reworking and I'm glad they made it more reasonable and cleared up much of the confusion.
I personally don't like the mention of Forward Janesville in the code, because while it is a great organization, so is Kiwanis, Optimist Club, the Janesville Police Department, the Boys and Girls Club or any of a dozen other organizations that I think should be given the same respect. Since they are all the same, why mention any one by name. Why not just say, "When representing the district to the community at a special event." However, that is just spliting hairs.
All in all, in ONLY MY opinion, it is a reasonably worded policy that is much improved from the one first introduced.

I'm with NVGF the program was sliding. He directly cost the team two games last year with his clock management. I'm glad he got out now, so the program didn't slide for two or three more years before he got fired. Let's book Barry a fligh to Pitt!
