Another leaves this wonderful city. We cannot even keep small buisnesses here. I ask what are our local leaders doing everyday? Not much in my eyes.

I agree studs. Its not the property owners fault. It all starts with the lender.

I am not sure what the big deal is. I bet almost a 1/3 of the janesville residents could and maybe should file backruptcy. What is your home worth in this town? I know I cannot sell my house now and make any profit. Our past town leaders choose to trust one giant company and that company dumped on them and us. I drove down a street that I lived on for years today and 1/2 the properties looked terrible. I pay my taxes in this town and get much less. In fact my taxes are up 20 percent. I do not work in Janesville. I work in Madison. I would move to Madison in a heartbeat but I am stuck in this town that did not seem to look outside the box. What to do if this giant company leaves. So do not get down on others for finiancial problems as you or I could very well be in the same position. In fact it might be a good idea and the only way to get out of this slowly sinking town.

The revolution begins. This is some serious stuff going on in this country and world. The rich get richer and the middle class is no more! Who runs this country? The rich? Or the PEOPLE! Why do we need Republicans and Dems? Why not the common folk party. This country is one lost land. I am ashamed!

I would not send my kid down in that area. Why build it there? Needs to be in the middle of the town. What about all these little parks the city wants to get rid of? There is a nice small park on court st (by Marshall Pl) that would be perfect. This park has noting in it and is never used.

What about bringing jobs into Janesville. I do not see much work being done on this issue. We have homeless people in the streets. Houses sitting empty and and my property has dropped dramatically. I would love to leave Janesville as I work in Madison. But in no way can I sell my house since this city let GM control our economy.

I also worked for Woodman's. (20yrs) I left because of all the bull that goes on there. When I started it was where the Post Office is now. It was a great place to work. But then they started to expand and all communication stopped. When they built the store on Lexington management started to treat the employees different. It all became cut throat. At the old store top management would communicate with the stockers, baggers and checkers. Now you see no one. Dept managers have no say on schedules. The schedules are done by office personal. That is why you see empty shelves and stand in line for a 1/2 hour to get checked out. Its all about the dollar and how they (Woodman's family) can profit faster so Clint can become even richer.
