We need more community programs like this, it makes me proud to know there are good people in our city that can set aside petty differences and act like Jesus wanted us to. Keep up the efforts, together we grow as a community.

BILL CLINTON WAS IMPEACHED, he lied to the people of this country under oath. Why is McCain subject to anyone's opinion. Look at the real issues people, history is written by those with the power. CNN, BBC, ABC, NYT, and even the JG have opinions, but accepting them at face value is your responsibility. Being uniformed is a choice that many make because it's easier than dealing with reality.
Ask tough questions, seek answers, and judge for yourselves.

We actually had to explain to some youth in our church, what the Holocaust was. Our history books and political correctness of the society have swept this nastly little event under the rug. No wonder the bleeding hearts of our city want to elect Obama, have we forgotten why we are at war. Terrorism attacks, thousands of people massacured under Sadam's rule, and our national security theratened are the reasons we must fight to keep the history and evil from being repeated. Hitler was often refered to as crazy or insane, but before the world learned of his terrorism they stated in numerous countries that he was a carasmatic and diplomatic leader or the people. He was no different than Joesph Stalin, Sadam or North Korea.
Allowing evil to florish because it is politically correct is the first step twoards the end. Don't be fooled there are dangers out there that want to end our freedoms

Where is the three strikes and your out? Again no one is held accountable for their actions. This poor fella must have been treated badly or abused.... Lose the soft feel good policies that our court has accepted and do something to prevent it.

Well why not? The city has played games like this before. Walmart gets in trouble to allowing motorhomes to stay in their parking lot overnight, because of a city ordinance? Get real, what other cith has some manager making more than the govenor? Do you job and focus on real problems.... Drugs, schools and family take higher priority than these items

This has been an issue for several years. We live on Conde street or should I say Conde Speedway. This is where the kids for Lincoln and Edison cross everyday.I have called the police on drivers doing upwards of 50+ MPH in a 25MPH zone, but there hasn't been anything done.
I asked the city to place a stop sign, I even offered to pay for it, but they stated there wasn't a need. Also, they clearly stated that stop signs are not for speed control? Well what are they???
It takes tragic events to cause us to do something. I recently read that we have devalued and accepted every behavior as explainable and acceptable. NO ONE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN ACTIONS ANYMORE. If you do the crime, THEN DO THE TIME. I am so sick of everyone blaming someone else for their actions, your poor childhood, education level, low income situation, or race don't cut it.

I am sure that step-mom is sincere and honestly devistated at the publicity. None of us were there, and will never know the whole story but it is something that happened and nothing that can be changed. Kids make mistakes, some more serious than others. We can blame and say how bad this was or learn a lesson. Let us all keep the families in our thoughts and prayers.
We as parents, grandparents, siblings, and friends must sieze the opportunity to step in when others need guidance. It certianly isn't something you'll get thanked for or even approval for but it needs to be done. Don't accept what society has taken as the "NORM", it's too easy.
