On Murder suspect's father questioned

People may have paid their debt to society...days, weeks or even years ago but there will always be that chance that person can harm again and about 98% of the time they do. It's a safety precaution. Obvisiously this dad had to be buying these guns under the table unless the whole registration process failed.
The truth of the matter is that both of these guys are worthless and both I feel should be responsible for this young girls death. If there were no guns to be allowed in this home this might not have happened. Hold them both responsible! Lock em' up guys!

SwissChick- I do believe I read it somewhere that Mr. Hicke had taken the gun from his fathers closet and if the father was aware of his violent past you would have thought that his father would have made sure there was a safety lock on it, after all it could have been his father that he would have done this to.

I have one question and it might seem to be way out there, but why wasn't there a gun lock on the weapon? It's not just to keep guns safe around little children! ALL GUNS SHOULD BE LOCKED UP PEOPLE!!!! Maybe this could have been prevented.

I would really like to know how many times a person can be arrested for domestic abuse/violence and nothing being done about it until something like this happens? My heart goes out to that little boy who seen his mother being killed. That will be a memory in his head forever.
I never believed in an eye for an eye....hell I want both eyes! This ( not sure what I really want to call him) SOB I hope will rot in hell for what he has done!
My thought and prayers go out to all the family and friends of this poor girl and most of all her little boy. Please let us all know if there is anything that can be donated and where.

Not saying if this is a good idea or a bad idea, but would like to know how many family and friends would say at a funeral " Poor thing died so young at a early age of a drug overdose, but Thank Goodness they were supplied with a sterile needle for every use"! Ok so maybe I am saying it is a bad idea.
To me it's no different than that Dr. Kavorkian (not sure on spelling) was doing to help the terminally ill commit suicide.
It seems like they are aiding the habit instead of curing it.

There are a lot of people that know him...including me ( only by acquaitance, Thank God!) and he is a loser! Guess he was friends with that guy that killed that woman outside of the office building in Beloit not long ago. Shows you what kind of company he keeps.
I'm just glad to hear that nobody was hurt during this. We all know it could of been a lot worse. Hope they lock him up for a long time.

On Lawmakers reach deal on statewide smoking ban
Posted on May 7 at 1:12 p.m. ( Suggest removal )
That is exactly what is going to happen once people stop smoking, all other taxes will be going up sky high and then all the non-smokers will be complaining again about how they can't afford the gas to get to work or to the non-smoking bar to have a drink that the price has also gone sky high due to the goverment raising the alcohol tax. It really doesn't make any difference what the goverment does, everyone some how will always be affected by their decisions. I just don't know how they can make a owner of a company or business become smoke free. And to ever who said that our freedom is being taken away I totally agree with you! And it's AMEN not Ahmen.
