Posted on July 1 at 9:42 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

Let's see...
Purchase land to build new hospital cause you heard Dean was shoppin for land...check
Sit on land for a decade cause area doesn't need a new hospital...Check
Competitor announces plans to build a hospital...do nothing with land...check
Finally realize competitor is going to wipe your E.R off the map...get meaningless level 2 trauma designation...check
Wholly crap!! We gotta build an E.R out there!!! How else will we get patients!!
Wait till the folks who live nearby get wind of the heli-pad they want to build. Maybe they'll fly one of those stealth choppers the SEAL's used to got Osama!!!

On Janesville Fire Department busier in 2010

Posted on January 21 at 10:05 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

Out here in the country we have to call the non-emergency number at the 911 call center and report that were having a fire, that way if our neighbors call in to report smoke or fire, they don't call out the fire department. Maybe this would work in the city?

On Jet attendance

Actually fighting is against the rules and is penalized as such. Officials can't predict when players will decide to throw punches, so when they do, a protocol is followed. The linesmen both have to arrive at the scene of the fight while the referee watches to see that no other players get involved. When the linesmen feel there is a safe opportunity to break the fighters apart, they do and the ref issues the appropriate penalties.

On State to fund Milton, Whitewater bike trails

I agree riverrat006...It should be a sticker on an orange flag, placed on a white fiberglass pole, attached to the rear of the bike. This is so the officers of the newly formed DBT(Department of Bikes and Trails) can identify them without getting out of their state purchased vehicles.

Sigma- Why would you be walking in "gushing blood" ? Why aren't you coming in via ambulance if your injuries are so severe!! Try calling 911 the next time you sever an artery.

On Commenters beware: You could be sued

I posted warnings about this very topic earlier this week in a few blogs. Lawsuits can and will happen. You are not protected by your screen name in court. Be very careful. All it takes is a perception that a comment is libel or slander and off to court you go!!!

On Bicycle trail to link Janesville and Watertown

Posted on August 25 at 3:46 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

So...Uncle Sam pays to build it, but who pays to maintain it? Are we going to plow it in the winter like some segments in the city? This is the problem I have with stimulus funds being used to "create" economic recovery. In 5 years we will just have a fight about who is going to pay for maintenanace, maintenance will not be done due to budget cuts and this "trail to nowhere" will fail.
