On Walker transfers $100,000 to legal defense fund

anlert....au contraire...I was a recruiter for many years and would not hire Barrett for anything as he has been a complete failure as mayor of Milwaukee. You see, companies are more interested in what an applicant achieves AFTER he/she finishes their schooling. Not finishing college may be an issue initially but its what you do afterwards that counts. Apparently Barrett's degree didn't do much for his leadership skills. Maybe he could get a job with Obama as a community organizer.

On Wis. TV group opposes posting political-ad data

Lueders has quite a far left history so I'm skeptical he would ever report in a "transparent" and fair way. He has an ax to grind and will grind it.

On Christie’s vice presidential skills

I like Christie even tho he can be a little caustic at times. I think it's too soon for another Bush. Give Rubio a few more years to mature and he will be good. Christie tells it like it is.

tipi...you miss the point entirely! How do you teach kids responsibility and accountability if they aren't taken care of by their family...the people who you would think Is responsible for them...not you, not me, not the federal govt. It's sets the stage for a lifetime of looking outside your family for taking care of you. It's an expectation. In certain cases the family cannot do it but it should not be a wholesale "here it's free, take it" situation. It's the easy way out.

tipi....if the kids are being watched by older siblings and they can't make a bologna or pb and j sandwich and pour a glass of milk they shouldn't be babysitting. How do these kids get to school to get the lunch if they are by themselves? come on folks, if you have kids feed them or don't have them! We were poor growing up but could always have a sandwich or a can of soup or something.

Does Echo do any job counseling or budget suggestions with recipients? Or just hand out gas cards and food to anyone who asks? Just wondering.
