I took the Avionics program many years ago and it provided me with the skills to go on to get jobs in the electronics field the rest of my life. The skills learned there do not have to apply just to aviation jobs. Your argument of your friends doesn't hold up. I know plenty of people who took courses that never got jobs from them and it had nothing to do with the schooling or the job market.

Speaking of using "jail birds" for labor. Do you know why you don't see prisoners out cleaning road sides and doing other "busy work" jobs around here like other states do? It is because the county and state UNIONS complained and forbid them from doing it. Go figure.

i can remember as a child in elementary school on the east coast in the late 60's, my mom went to school after 2 bullies broke my new camera. She grabbed both of them by the neck, smacked them into each other and then proceeded to chew them out AND spoke to their parents! Got a new camera and never got picked on again by them. Today, ma would be in jail. Point is, kids did respect parents. Theirs and others. Today, no respect for adults is instilled in children.

4bears or anyone for that matter. If FOX is so bad, where do you get your news and information? Why are your news sources always the truth and FOX is always wrong? Who are you to say?
