If parents taught their children from the day they came home from the hospital that there are rules to follow and elders to respect and obey many of these behaviors would not be taking place because they would be afraid of what would happen when they got home and their parents found out!
.
Parents need to take responsiblity and acountablity for their children's behavior and make them accountable for their actions.
.
As for the bus driver, Yes he should have pulled over and stopped it. All buses are equipted with radios to report things. It should have been reported to dispatch and the parent called and the school informed. Should he loose his job YES! Should Riteway be held acountable YES YES and YES!!!!!

I have a distant cousin that played Football and Basketball for WSD in the early 1980's. My father took us to some of his games. We were in awe at how they played and ask many questions. It was cool (at the time) to see how the plays were called. It made us realize even more he was just like us. I think more kids need to be exposed to this.

The goverment says you have to pay taxes on it but then turn around and say they have the legal right away and will do what they want to maintain it. Im sorry if I pay the taxes on it I have the RIGHT to say how to maintain it. Once again goverment tell me how to live if you ask me.

I remember Jupiter's being a off shoot of JCPenny's. Downstairs at Woolworth's (aka The Dime Store)they had a mima bird who would talk up a storm every time we went down to check out the toy section. I also remember the Savings and Loan that was next door to Sears. In their window every Christmas they would have a doll display. I use to dream about having all those fancy dolls. I also remember the pedstrian stoplight right there so you could cross Milwaukee St. mid block. Who remembers the creaky wood floors in Bostwick's and Penny's? LOL

For my mother's family it was Great Aunt Helen's apple pie and whatever other fruit pie she brought that year. After her passing one of her granddaughters brought the pies that first year. Oh the memories they brought to mind. Come to find out Aunt Helen had taught her all her secrets and boy were they good! Now the older cousins are up there in age and us younger ones do not know each other so not many attend. The last few years those who faithfully attend each year meet at a resturant and relive old times.

On Milton High moving to eight-period days
Posted on February 4 at 1:58 p.m. ( Suggest removal )
I'm not sure if adding a class period is good or bad. But what I do know is that many students that want to be involved in band and choir have been taking online classes in the summer in order to get their credits for graduation. Many of them are taking AP courses for college and this would also give them a possible study hall they have not had in the past because of an overload schedule. (I for one did this 3 of my 4 years at Milton and I was only in band and no AP coarses.) So this added period is a bonus to them. Freeing up some of their summer so they work and save for college or be more involved in the community which is even more important to receive college scholarships and enterance to college.
