I don't think that optimism meant any disrepect towards the father. The way the atricle is writen makes is sound like he went upstairs to warn others. That's way forums like this are a good thing. Thanks to red58 we now know that he was going for help, and why he would do so.

I think GM's idea to cut the dead weight and move on with new employees is a great idea. Now maybe more people will be able to afford to buy a GM product and help support a locally operated company.

You have to agree with Huge_Jass's point to an extent. Localboy to use your scenario, if the paper were to print several articles about that same care unlocked with the keys in it, and where it was, yes, it would be more likely to be stolen. I don't think you and point the blame at the paper but they didn't help the situation any.

When ever the days are that they come up with (sounds like the last Friday and two Saturdays) I guarantee my two step boys will be at school. I'm trying to teach them about responsibility. If they have to give up a couple of Saturdays, big deal, they will have plenty of over weekends in their lifetime.

wisconsinheat is 100% correct, it's about responsibilty. I'm sure teachers are a lot more likly to have a "movie day" if the days were made up at the end of the school year, rather than on Saturdays.

If you really think the roads are that bad, and that it is putting your childs life at risk by sending them to school, then keep them home. Just because school has regular hours today, doesn't mean that you have to "endanger" your own child
