On Man's drunken-driving offenses span four counties

In some countries, the penalty for driving drunk is death. Higher fines don't scare people. Maybe the people who aren't notorius offenders. The people who think the laws don't apply to them because it's all about them are the one's who deserve no mercy. I have a mother, infact who fits into that category. 3rd OWI since 1995, almost killing someone else not to mention herself, yet, she continues to think she's 10 feet tall and invisible. Her last offense, about a year ago, she got a fine and 3 months on house arrest. Whoopie freakin' doo!!!!! I love my mother, but she get's no special treatment in this deal because WRONG IS WRONG!! She won't learn and her 4th one is inevitable! I just pray that it's not anyone here or not here that has to pay for someone else's ignorance and selfishness.
On Wis. wardens arrested nearly 30 felons during hunt

padebella~ agreed. Politicians and gov't officials are people as well and yet, lie, cheat and deceive others they're supposed to be serving for their own agenda's as well. WE as citizens of this country allow these folks to serve in office, yet a felon with a gun, deer hunting is the big story here. Don't get me wrong here, I'm in total agreement with what you said....it just sickens me how our media has seared the public's subconscience to take the focus off the "bigger picture" and where the problems actually start and put them on all the smaller issues (still important) to take the attention off themselves so they can do their evil work. Our gov't officials are mere foxes standing in the middle of the hen house telling all the chickens, "don't worry, we've found the killer, you're safe now!"
On What will next decade hold for us?

The next decade is the heart of the digital age. The new emerging industries that are not only taking place now, will reshape the job landscape like never before. People will have to adapt to working harder from the "neck up" rather than from the "neck down". With the internet and technology, those who can adapt to change with the rapid flow of NEW information will do very well! Those who ignore the new rules and resist change, I'll pray for you. ( I mean that with all due respect to everyone!)
On Neumann proposes term limits for lawmakers, others

with all due respect to Mr. Neumann, it's not like he'll go broke if he's only in office for 2 years. I think it's a great idea, however, let's be realistic, he's very well to do.
On US official: Extremists seek new ways to attack US
Posted on January 3 at 4:54 p.m. ( Suggest removal )
The extremists have the media on their side! It's a shame we have a culture of people in the U.S. who have been lulled to sleep by the garbage media that's impregnated our subconsciences. The most vulnerable people are the "uneducated" ones because when you're clueless, you have no means to detect good from bad and you're not able to act and prevent these things from happening. It's the same parallel as our overall health. We can take prescription meds and mask the real problems with our body, just so we can bridge that gap of pain for a short time or we can get to the root of the problem, as painful as it may be to do, and we can actually CURE what ails us! The solutions are not that complex, WE as a society just make them that way because we're all taught to take the easy way out and look for the quick fixes so we can all be individually comfortable in our own corner of the world. We've been put to sleep.....it's time to wake up!

It's only unhappy for those who choose to buckle and don't have the guts to fight for what's right. It's a great year for me!

The answers are very simple to fixing the problems we face. The complex part is PEOPLE make up the govt. and the communities in which we live! Because people are such complex creatures, there's no unity because everyone wants whats best for themselves individually as opposed to what we need to do for the overall good of the country. It's called "agenda driven propaganda" and we're forcefed what to think is right as opposed to what really is. It's a sad scenario and WE THE PEOPLE are the only one's that can even begin to make this thing right, but, we can't get together on common ground, thus, we're in freefall as a nation. We are a mirror reflection of our country's leadership! Both sides preach unity and coming together as a nation when neither side is capable of exemplifying it in their own political parties!!!

bobb, I contacted you quite a while back and offered to share a "hand up" to you and you never replied again after you told me you would. Sometimes the answer is sitting right in front of people. Not saying what's been a Godsend for me would be for you, but, in this new economy, it pays to be open minded and explore the possibilities. There's never been a better time for to take advantage of change, however, if we don't act, there's never been a better time for change to take advantage of us.
