Come on mayor decker discover Wisconsin was totally worth it? Yet how many business's have left the down town area in the last year alone? I can think of at least four. That is a lot considering the down town offered very little to begin with. Discover Wisconsin totally worth it? What a bunch of b.s..

Muskie999 I think you have raised a good point. Who are they sending these surveys to I have not gotten one.

There are certain family's in town who think they run the town and they are what is holding this town back.

The rumble strip in the down town area was a horrible idea cost the city thousands, and is already falling apart and needs repair.

There is nothing in Evansville for the people who live here why would anyone come here?

I agree with the one poster the city needs new leadership, someone who is not influenced by certain family and people in town. Some one who will do what is right for the town and its citizens, instead of doing things that only benefit a few.

Schools could push for 4k to be mandatory but good Gov.Walker will not go for that. School's think they have it bad now, they have not even begun to see the cuts he is going to make.

The first big thing is he plans on taking the lid off virtual school limits, this will go right to the gut of public schools, as they will lose money for each child that leaves and goes to virtual schools.

For the last several years in Wisconsin there has been hundreds more applications for virtual school than the cap allowed.

Gov.Walker has made this clear this is in his plans to allow more kids and parents to choose where there kids are educated.

To not be stuck in a school that does not work and/or if failing.

Gone are the days where parents have to accept what their local school is giving.

evansvillehousewife, the daycare centers were all very opposed to this, when it was first discussed several years ago. If they can not get the day care centers to go for it , it will not work..

Shame on Heidi does she not think taxpayers in the district have any memory at all? This was highly opposed several years ago and it will be again.

Very cool. I would love to attend one of his classes. He brings a lot of experience and wisdom, besides education to the classroom.

Also absolutely NO car title loans, No roll back on those. If people lose their vehicles how do they get to work. These owners of these companies should be prosecuted for predatory lending.
