Acting the part is right. Hey, Brett can go into acting after his lovely Chevy commercials indicating after the game, he is driving to his nearest Chevy dealer. Yah, right!

Like HD won't before 7 years is up move out of the state of WI anyways. They cut jobs, cut pay, and rest assured, they will move or further slash jobs and pay no question about it. It is what big corporations do best.

How in the F did the stupid govts. pay czar approved this. They say the pay/compensation is in line with what Whitacre was receiving. Well, times have changed now haven't they with GM being in bankruptcy and trying to pay back the govt. I wouldn't pay him over 100K with NO stock offerings and if he didn't like it, so be it, get someone to save this Govt. Motors without millions of dollars of perks. What a fricking joke. Things never change with GM. They say they are on the mends, but with crap like this happening it makes me even madder to NOT buy a GM vehicle.

Good, now maybe the bicyclists will actually use the trail systems for a change and get off the main roads where they do not belong, especially the rural hwys.. I cannot count the number of times here in Green/Dane County that the huge number of bicyclists are riding on rural roads when in fact there are 3 great trail systems specifically designed for bikes only within miles of each other.

I agree with progressive6.
DMFD24, sure almosty all HD's can become fast, but not right out off the showroom floor except the V-rod without 4-6K in mods or a sporster is somewhat quick for what it is. I'd like to see stock vs. stock right off the showroom floor say an Ultra Classic similar touring bike match my 2001 Honda Valkyrie Interstate up to say 135 mph or even the 1/4 mile. It may beat me off the line in 1st gear, but 1/2 way thru 2nd gear, I'm pulling away very easily. Not saying they are not nice bikes, but at over twice the price stock off the showroom floor, not too many HD's are powerful or quick. Even the HD riders admit this that without mods running in the 1,000's, most are slow.

Very good news if ONLY people keep buying into the myth that HD's are worth the price. They are making a killing on their overpriced outdated engines and their marketing scheme is top of the line. I predict when the 50 and over crowd wither away say into their 70's, HD will be gone.

hdonlybob, agree with what you said about wishing they would stay and out to make a profit just like any other company, but will you continue to buy HD products when they ship more and more plants/parts made overseas like GM and so many other mfgs. are doing? Call me what you want, but I was finally feed up with GM quality on their silverado's made all in Canada/Mexico that I have bought in the past 20 years and bought my first Toyota Tundra in 2007 made in San Antonio TX and my Honda cycle made in Marysville Ohio. At least my purchases are American made employing Americans and not made overseas and more American made parts on both of my vehicles than any GM product or HD. Way back in the 90's our entire office got laid off/moved by GM and finally got smart enough in the 2000's to buy a decent product employing Americans even though it says HOnda and Toyota which are foreign owned. I'd rather buy quality American made parts/vehicles that employ Americans more so than GM, etc. that even though they say they are an American company, more and more of their vehicles and parts are made overseas. Toyota and Honda in the product lines I have purchased, are more USA made with USA parts than darn near any vehicle or cycle out there.

figures, hardley ableson wants to charge a premium price for their underpowered machines by keeping inventory low and only allowing the nieve and rich to purchase them, although I have no clue why anyone would spend 20K+ on something not worth 10K.
