You have a solid point. Most of the people that are saying "good ridence" to GM are uneducated and in 10 years when the city turns to crap, they may make the corelation between the good times and GM being up and running. Either way, it is obvious they have never taken a microeconomics class. Thankfully, I was smart enough to get the heck out of Dodge as soon as I graduated college to take full advantage of the plentiful opportunities that are present elsewhere. I hope others are able to do so as well if they cannot find work in the south-central Wisconsin area.

I have been to Sedona. Definately a different kind of city. It is a tourist city. However, the cost of living there is pretty high since there are many million dollar homes of individuals that use them as either vacation homes or that work in nearby Flagstaff. The tax base is a lot different than Janesville. It will be interesting to see what he does when he has to stick to a hard budget since Janesville isn't rampant with millions dollar homes and it is not collecting a lot of sales and tourist taxes.
