Just curious, did someone pay the owners for their home or are they just "out". Sorry for the poor folk who lived there.

@Bealab, Not only rich families send their children to private school. We did without to send our children to private school...very used cars, lived in a mobile home, shopped Goodwill and rummage sales, etc. We paid the same taxes as everyone else, plus chose to pay for private school. I also work for a private school and see the same thing there. Families choose private schools for a variety of reasons, but because they have extra money lying around isn't one of them. That isn't how the rich get rich.
@kidsfirst, I wonder how many of the low income students are there only because their parents think it will solve all their education problems. Though we paid to have our children in private school, I didn't expect them to do all the work. We did homework every night and kept them going during the summer.

If these violations resulted from inspections back in Oct. why are they just now coming to light? If they are life threatening they should be hopped on immediately.

Just remember that it works both ways. When the dems have the majority, they won't need a quorum then.

I haven't read any of the comments, because, personally I am tired of all the bashing. Another thing I'm tired of is the media bias. Even in this article, for the Gazette to say,"so called 'budget repair bill". Have any of you heard of the raucous in Wauwatosa? I haven't seen it in the main stream media. And there have been other incidents that they refuse to report. And they always have a negative spin for the conservatives. It is tiring and discouraging. Let's hear some uproar about that, for once.

dmfd24...His supporters are sitting at home listening to nothing but your side. You are blind and being led by the unions. If this is truly a "right", why is it not available to all of us. I don't have the "rights" that you have. Therefore, it isn't a right. It's a shame that the media is biased. I haven't heard an unbiased account on any of the major networks or local news broadcasts. That isn't news reporting.

I don't have a problem with keeping the hydrant cleared, except when they push it up on it. There are 3 other corners and by us, 1 is a schoolyard.

The sad thing is, mobile homes are like cars. They do not gain equity. The moment you buy them they devalue greatly. 30 yrs ago we paid $20,000 for own new trailer and sold it for less than $5,000 five yrs ago. Me heart goes out to them all.

On Milton OKs 6 a.m. alcohol sales

This is so disheartening. My dad worked 3rd shift. After work he went to the bar and got drunk. Came home and slept til it was time for work. One day he had a hit and run, drunk driving accident on his way home. Long story short, he killed himself the next day. I don't think we should be making it easier for people who are addicted to alcohol to get their drug.
